Now playing : some of the Halo video game soundtrack from Youtube. Halo is a great game, and the music really fits well. I especially like the Warthog Run.
Let your conscience decide !

Manatee

It's too quiet, so I'll say something.

JP: King Crimson - Red

NP: Neil Young (with Pearl Jam) - Mirrorball
"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

Bupie

Yes, I have to try King Crimson someday  ::)

NP Blind Guardian : Nightfall In Middle Earth

This one took me a few listens to get into but now I understand all the praise he receives  8)

Recommended to all the Shadow Gallery fans since I find many similarities between the two bands.

Nicky007

NP  Anubis Gate:  The Detached  *horns*

I said it earlier, but just to make sure that it gets thru: Anubis Gate are similar to Circus Maximus and Seventh Wonder, and just as good. Highly progressive, heavy, melodic, with top-rate musicianship, and philosophic lyrics.

So anyone into CM and SW should certainly look up AG  ;)

Lifeline by Neal Morse

Uplifting music for a damp day

Teunis

I really enjoyed watching the Pallas DVD 'The Blinding Darkness', which arrived this week. Great stuff! Too bad Alan Reed had to leave Pallas, love his voice!

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Bupie

PP Shadow Gallery - Room V
JP The Michael Schenker Group - The Michael Schenker Group
NP Sonata Arctica - Unia

Hum, actually, Unia is very good, Nicky, and it has a few DT-like keyboards licks here an there. So you can go for it, it's a good pick  ;)

maddox

Marillion ~ Size Matters

Just listened to This Strange Engine, which is live even better than the studio version, now the last song Neverland.
Cause of Injury: Lack of Adhesive Ducks.

Steve Jones

Simon Says - Paradise Square

Great album, even better than Tardigrade.  Some splendid bass-playing in particular *horns*

Right, Funkster !

But altho Jacob Hansen of Anubis aint a great singer, I do prefer him by far to Nils K. Rue, whose singing actually annoys me  :(

Also, I consider that Anubis have a few more tricks in their bag than Pagan.

;) Bups

NP  Pyramaze:  Immortal

Close to Iced Earth, but with some choice keyboard atmospherics by Jonah Weingarten.

Immortal sees Matt Barlow taking a break from IE and doing some fine singing here (altho he's not one of my fave singers, e.g. I like Ripper a lot more).

Another group for the Room  ;)

Yes indeed. I've been following these guys for a few years now, listened to their demo's and now they finally released their first 'proper' album! I don't know if it'll beat Aspera's and Echoes's albums as debut of the year - time will tell -  but it sure has a lot of potential. *horns*

NP: Pain Of Salvation - Road Salt One: Ivory

I heard a lot of mixed reactions about this album so far, but for someone who wasn't on this planet in the seventies, I really dig their retro-sound. 8)

Yeah, I guess so. We took it on Spotify. I don't really listen to this stuff no more, but Ms 007's son likes Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Deep Purple, and I prefer listening to them rather than hip-hop  ;)

And now I'm really yearning for something like
