I played Queensrÿche's American Soldier a couple of times today. Really good album, it just keeps getting better with every listen. In fact I think it's up there with Operation: Mindcrime... Top league progmetal!

NP: Pain Of Salvation - Scarsick

It's been a while since I played this album, but it still rocks as hard as it did when it came out! By the way, I heard that Road Salt is due out in May so bring it on. I can use a dose of new PoS-material...

Teunis, I think Phoenix is decent enough, not groundbreaking but enjoyable, especially the two longer tracks...... Well, let's see what Omega brings.

I'm missing somewhat heavier parts on 'Phoenix', was hoping for heavier stuff like on their debut album to keep it more interesting for me. When I'm playing the album, I always hope that I'm not falling asleep  . 'Omega' can only be better IMO.

I listened to it a last weekend and it's actually growing on me. My only 'complaint' (well, not really a complaint but you know what I mean) is that I think the vocals don't really gel with the heavy music, but maybe this is because I haven't heard the album quite enough... So far so good though!

Yeah, I'v also been wondering a lot about the vocals  

They do gel to a certain degree with repeated listens, but I agree: There is some disparity.

On Aghora I, Santiago Dobles' sis Danishta Rivero does the singing. I find that her vocals flow better with the music.

All in all, both Aghora albums are multispinners  

Who knows?

I know I'm reiterating, but imo the four best albums I'v discovered lately are Nostradamus, Zero Order Phase, American Soldier, and The Fame Monster    &
