Sorry but I know you weren't at the Rotterdam gig, simply because there was none that tour. Therefore, I think you mean the Amsterdam-gig, don't you?

I remember after the intermission the second set (the cover album) started with some soundclips from legendary prog-albums to tease the crowd that was dying in anticipation, and they went wild with every sample. Then the band kicked in with Dark Side Of The Moon. Amazing, great memories...

Of course you're right. What was i thinking? 

Prior to the show i said to a friend of mine that i hoped for Operation: Mindcrime of Queensrÿche.
And then i heard the sample fo Operation:Mindcrime and i was like: Wow.  They actually are going to play that one!!!!!   

I was seriously wrong. 

But the Dark Side was cool too.

Are you Mew-sick? Don't you like this fantastic Danish band?

They'r ok, but I find the bands that I listed much more exciting, more prog if ya like. Yaknow, Tom, there are several excellent Danish metal bands around now. In the Room, we play Swedish and Norwegian metal bands. I'd say it's high time that we get into the good Danish ones  

Well, I'm playing Scar Symmetry's Holographic Universe right now. Still not metal enough?

They'r heavy for sure, and excellent  


Opeth's another band that's been well received in the Room  

But there are many more great metal bands waiting ... waiting .....  

I have 3-4 on my pantheon list that are untouched by Roomie hands (except for mine)

Yes, just like you I thought they were gonna play Operation: Mindcrime for a moment. But hearing Dark Side Of The Moon (which wasn't very familiar to me back then) was a great experience as well.

Thinking of it, Dream Theater actually introduced me to Pink Floyd!
