It's from Pure.  You need to buy it before you next go to bed ;)

Seconded.  ;)

Oddly enough, that makes two unrelated albums called Pure that are on my list.  The other being by The Golden Palominos.

Still playing morow.com .  Magenta's on now.

Another fine band.  Have you heard the collaboration with Annie Haslam of Renaissance?

No, although I think I read about it when I was mooning over one of the Progfests in Pennsylvania.  And no, Nicky, not that kind of mooning.   :P

This is actually the first Magenta I've heard - Metamorphosis.  Rather long, which suits me fine.  Imagine that, a real prog radio station (albeit on the web), where the average song is probably about 10 minutes long.   *horns*

Now they're playing a band called Hoggwash.  They probably deserve a try just on the merits of the name alone.   ;D

Ooh, now they're playing The Eyes of Lara Moon.   *horns*

It's not what I like most in their discography, I must say  :(  Night And Day is just an average pop song in my book ... and the painting of Annie Haslam that provides the artcover of the EP is  :( too ...

My advice would be to try Seven, Metarmophosis or Revolutions first (or Broken if you want a more easy-listening EP).

NP Dream Theater - Octavarium

Track 6 : Never Enough  I don't really know why but I  love this track and the lyrics are sooo portnoyish ...

I mentioned it more because I recall Manatee expressing an interest in Renaissance some time ago 8)

Excellent station. Thanks for the tip!
You're welcome. When you listen to Morow very often, you recognise most of the stuff, it is often repeated. Buy hey, you have to hear most of the prog music more often to appreciate it  ;).

At the moment I'm listening to Au4's "On: Audio" again. It really works in the evening!
Man, it's been a while since I was so excited about a band.

From Wikipedia:

"The Golden Palominos were an American musical group headed by drummer and composer Anton Fier, first formed in 1981. Aside from Fier, the Palominos membership was wildly elastic, with only bassist Bill Laswell and guitarist Nicky Skopelitis appearing on every album.

While the Palominos' records usually featured a core set of musicians and a certain emotional continuity throughout the bulk of an album, various guest appearances would result in stylistic changes from track to track."

There's a lot more, but I don't want to spam this thread with a huge cut and paste.  Anyway, basically, Golden Palominos are Anton Fier and whoever he feels like making an album with at the time.  I have Visions of Excess on vinyl, and I consider it splendid.  It's eclectic and interesting, and it features several notable guests including Michael Stipe, Richard Thompson, Jack Bruce, and John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten).  I'd love to get it on CD, but at last check, it's out of print, and any available copies are used and at ridiculous collectables prices.  I've read a lot of good things abut GP's Pure, which is readily available, so I figured I'd take a punt on that one to get my fix.

Rush - Feedback.

I also gave Snakes & Arrows a whirl yesterday while I was out and about.  Still doesn't hold my attention in quite the same way that Rush normally do...

NP: Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame (a song, not an album)

Sent to me by a young lady I work with online.  It's basically fantasy speed metal, somewhat like Dragonforce.  Fun, but far from essential.

Ok, I meant to go back to morow.com, but Out of Myself starting playing, and it's too good to turn off.
