OK !!!

Guess I'll have to reconsider my life  :D

Your opinion means a lot to me, Erik  8)

Thanks Nicky! And: likewise, so naturally 'must check out Ten' is on my to do list ;)

Ten sounds very good, Nicky! (Thanks.)

Listening to some samples on the Ten fansite.
At the moment: This Heart Goes On (sample)

Of course this song is a bit less good, but for a ballad it's very pretty.

I know that Brave is the fave album of A LOT of Marillion fans, I read all the stories about it, I know that the members of the band praise it a lot, I know that they disliked the commercial approach on HiE (by the way, it's strange to know that people who did a music that you like don't like it themselves  :-X) but frankly, even if I have come to like it (moderately) this is the last album in my 250+ prog CD's that I would recommend to any prog rock newbie. If I listen to Brave and then, for instance, to CAS, there's just no competition. But it's just me and Marillion is a great band anyway.

NP Marillion - One fine Day  Great song really, maybe my second favorite of the H's era after Fantastic Place

Ten is not only music, it's an addiction (as bad as heroin, tellya)  ;D

That's what I first thought too, Paco, but each time I heard it, it simply got better, and now I find it insanely good. That has a lot to do with the fact that Gary's an insanely good singer.

Comin to think of it, it seems that we're movin from "the guitarist's age" into "the singer's age" - isnt that so?

Nicky.

I'm still in "the keyboardplayer's age"... Is that bad? :(

Fantastic Place and One Fine Day are among my Marillion faves too! One Fine Day is really an underrated gem.

About comparing Brave and Clutching At Straws, I view the Fish era and H era as two separate things, I personally cannot make a sensible ranking of albums mixing the two. The Fish era is great and it's where my love for Marillion and prog in general started (together with Genesis), but I hardly play those albums anymore. The H era work touches me so much more.

Yeah, fell back again, couldnt help it.

Rome is my fave song, need it like Popeye needs his spinach.

Not only does Gary have a tremendous expression, but there's something about the way he colors each word - never heard anything like it before. A treat for a linguist freak. He really creeps under my skin.

You'll definitely like this stuff, Erik.

But Pusle doesnt wanna dance with me no more. Need a new dance partner. Anyone in?  ;D
