God. So many good souvenirs again with this one, although definitively not my fave.  Does someone remember this video ?

Spocks Beard - The Light

Track: 02 - Go The Way You Go

By far the mother of all Prog albums. There's not a single album that did so much to me, prog-wise, than The Light and then to think that it only holds four songs. ( on the original one that is.  ;))

Amazing, still after all those years.  *horns*

I agree with you there, Maddox. I also listened to it again a few days ago, and I was amazed at how good it is.

I just listened to Sola Scriptura. This album is tremendous. I foresee that once the Church discovers Sola and realises that this is the lyrics and music for the present age, i.e. for the more intellectual people of faith, Sola could become as big as Jesus Christ Superstar (and it's far better). Further, Paul Gilbert's fantastic solo closing The Door will become a classic as big as Dave Gilmour's solo in Comfortably Numb.

NP  Saga: Worlds Apart.

Lovely melodic light prog. Canadian group, mature, professional guys. If you like A.C.T, Rush and Toto, you'll like this album.

I'm gonna follow up on these guys.

Chris Cornell: Live at the Fenix in Seattle, May 8 2007

http://entimg.msn.com/i/ExperienceData/p1-6/us/x.htm?sh=MIC&ep=ChrisCornell&ch=0

Great concert. Chris is back to a very grungy mood, where he's best. Fine backing musicians too. Some of his best songs.

Seattle is his home town, so it's a very special concert.

Guys, Chris is one of the best rock singers around, so here's your chance for a great experience.

Spiral Architect: A Sceptic's Universe

A gang of Norwegian musical maniacs, like Zero Hour, but even wilder. Whether it's more ingenious? Donno asko mio (Chico Marx). This is stuff for a PhD.

I'm now listening to something brilliant. (As always in this genre)

Mystery - Beneath The Veil Of Winter's Face
01. As I Am

A very Arena-ish song. Instrumentally that is. The vocals are not Arena-ish.

Now: 02. Beneath The Veil Of Winter's Face
I think I discovered a gem again!
This is really great music!

Queen: Made In Heaven

A wonderful, very spiritual album, the last with Freddie. "Dedicated to the immortal spirit of Freddie Mercury," one of the greatest rock musicians.

That was a funny one, Bupie, thanks. So the French can do more than make love.  ;D

Yeah, I was also bewildered about the Myungs. I thought that it was a counterjoke from Maddox. But you can get a long ways with Google, Wikipedia, Dictionary.com and Amazon.com, tellya. Here's what I found:

Yup, it's a bootleg. There are hundreds of Dream Theater bootlegs around.

I'm looking for DT's Dark Side Of The Moon. It seems to be a collector's item. You can get it from Amazon for $50 +, but since I'm not Rockefeller Jr., I'm looking for a cheaper copy. Any tips?

Nicky, stop looking any further and go to www.ytsejamrecords.com.
Here you can order all 'Official Bootlegs' as they're called directly through the band! Official Bootlegs are supposed to only be sold through that very website so I don't really know why Amazon sells it, and for $50!!! :o If you buy it directly through Ytsejamrecords it only costs $20.....

Hope that helps!

Thanks, Tom, that's a great tip. I'll use this site in the future for DT bootlegs.

Thanks for the link. I guess it's still a counterjoke since it's filmed in Korea ... but not from Maddox  :D

Yes, an incredible number indeed. I once dreamed (no joke) to get some of them but, frankly, there are already so many good and official  records around that I don't find time to listen to ... Still, I have one DT bootleg that I am ready to sell for far less than 50 bucks   ;) : http://www.yourmajesty.net/concert2.asp?num_id=151 Very good sound but James'voice ... Hmmm, worse than on OIALT and LSFNY.

Apart from Arena albums, FoaBP is one of the best of the decade so far !!
