I was in town today and I went to a gameshop (to buy the Commandos collection (Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Commandos: Beyond The Call Of Duty, Commandos 2: Men Of Courage, Commandos 3: Destination Berlin)).
In the shop there was music and it sounded REALLY good, so I thought by myself, "as soon as I'm at the pay desk I'm gonna ask the guy which band is playing". But then suddenly the song became very familiar with me... "Huh? I know this, but who are they?". And then the singer began to sing and I knew it:
Muse!

From the album Black Holes And Revelations.
I haven't heard that album that much yet, but it sounded better than I could remember.
I'm gonna listen to that now.

(Oh, and Commandos games are GOOOOD, the collection costed me just 10 euros, a bargain really! RECOMMENDED!)

I learned to listen to it. Didn't like it at first. But the first track is just brilliant and some other tracks too. I'm not a Pallasaholic though.

I listened to The Urbane - Glitter today and the song Hate My Radio is stuck in my head. Time to wash it away with a little amount of OSI - Free.
I think OSI is brilliant and I really like the Free cd (which isn't for free (hohoho I'm so funny)).
I think I prefer it over their first cd. (Don't kick me please)

Anyway, I wanted to say "Time to wash it away with a little amount of Frost" but I gave the cd to a teacher of mine. He said he liked it, not very experimental but certainly very progressive... I don't get it, to be honest, but he said he liked it, so I'm glad.

Why am I the only one to post a whole analysis and/or story around what I'm listening to instead of just saying "[band] - [track]"? I think it's very fun to do and possibly very fun to read too.

Right?

Eh?

It's true or what?

......

Guys?

It was the first time I played the album and, besides some nice songs, I wasn't impressed either  :-\. But I will give it some time.

I'm now listening to some previewclips of Frank Klepacki's new solo CD. (Frank Klepacki is the man behind the music of the Command & Conquer games but unfortunately not the C&C 3 game).
Yes I'm a C&C-addict. ;D

Anyway, those new tracks are really good!

Frank Klepacki - Awakening Of Aggression

1. Awakening A very Klepackian music. ;D This is really what he's 'famous' for. Very fast and with electronic samples. You get in the mood to play C&C: Renegade.
2. Brain Dead Very metal, hehehehe. Double bass in it. Nice sounding riffs and it has a bit Red Alert 2 sound on the aggressive side.
3. Fantasy A more simple track. It's not heavy. It's nothing special actually. This is a track you must hear as a full song to know if it's really good or not.
4. Kill This is more like the second track. Aggressive, but not very special.
5. Krung Kick This is a very good song! With a hint to James Bond. Hehehehe. Better than the ones I mentioned before.
6. Magnefried For some reason it reminds me a bit of the Ordos music of Emperor: Battle For Dune. This one is also a very outstanding track!
7. Rage And Fury Nice guitar sounds. And nice bass picking. Sounds a bit like his The Bitters band but then with keyboards in it (which is better).
8. Rox A bit rollerskating-disco-music with a electric guitar. Funny and he does a good job with it.
9. Strange Hmm... Not strange, very good! I can't wait to hear the full song! Nice (semi-acoustic?) guitar and keyboard work.
10. Vigilante Red Alert 2 again. Not a bad thing of course. He makes use of some sort of choir-sound, which is cool, but sounded a bit strange in some way.

I think this is Frank Klepacki's best CD. It's better than his 3rd CD and maybe even better than his 2nd CD. I'm absolutely gonna buy this one again! I can listen to this music while playing the new C&C when it's out in 2007, and I'm sure a lot more C&C-fans will do the same!

Kamelot - The Black Halo

11. Nothing Ever Dies

Just like Pallas, some nice songs, but much of the same. Not the best music I've ever heard  ;)

Indeed :D
I like the first song on that album! ;D
But it's not really that special.

I'm listening to Spock's Beard - Snow.

Nice, very nice. Very much like Neal Morse's solo albums.

(Not a very big post from me this time, I have to compensate sometimes)

I'm listening to Spock's Beard - Snow.
I have heard some stuff of this band from a friend. The music didn't grab me, but maybe I didn't give it enough time  ???. By the way, the drummer of Spock's Beard, Ryo Okumoto, is the drummer of today's purchase of mine, GPS.

Playing: A.C.T - Last Epic

It's REALLY one of my favourites!
As soon as Insideout re-releases it, I'm gonna buy it!
