Savatage - Believe

Amazing song! I'll be ordering the album it's on very, very soon!

It is a great track from a great band!! If you like that then try 'Alone You Breathe' on the 'Handful Of Rain' release. If you don't know of it, it was a track that Jon Oliva wrote for his brother Chris after he died in a road accident (it includes a Believe reprise!)

Guess I'll have to play some Savatage today then now *horns* *horns*

Savatage - Gutter Ballet

...my favourite Sava album.

Let me use the occasion to tell you that Cristopher Oliva's wife, that barely survived the car crash 10+ years ago, is now dead. Their child, that was around one year old at the time of the crash is thereby orphaned.  :'(

The first year after the crash, Criss's wife was in a dire state. From what I know, she was in a coma for a long time, and in a wheelchair after that. I do not know the exact nature of her life after that, or indeed that of their child.

Now playing Savatage - Dead Winter Dead (my fav Sava album - such a strong story line that maybe very close to home for some on this list)
Then I'll be playing some Trans-Siberian Orchestra as the idea for this gathering was inspired by the track Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) off Dead Winter Dead, although I won't be playing an Xmas album (way too early for that!!) but Beethoven's Last Night, by far their best release and one you can play all year round!!

Yes - 90125
4. Changes

You know, the music is OK, but that voice!! Man, I dislike the voice! On this track it isn't really that bad. But Owner Of A Lonely Heart for example, they should get a decent singer...
Not really my cup of tea, it sounds like some sort of cheesy 80 popband, which it is actually, right? ;D

EDIT: Now Playing:
Roine Stolt - The Flowerking
2. Dissonata

This is just amazing me, so great music (much better than Yes in my opinion ;))
Is this actually The Flower Kings? Or is this Roine Stolt? Or Roine Stolt with all the other members of The Flower Kings?
Confusing...

I agree with you on the Jon Anderson part. That is mostly the problem i have too with Yes. Great music, but that voice.  :-\

The Flower King (album) is the basis of The Flower Kings (band). It is actually a solo album of Roine Stolt, together with a few guys whom which he later formed The Flower Kings with. If you like this track than wait till you hear Humanizzimo.

Simply awesome.  *horns*

NP> Genesis - Seconds Out

Track: The Musical Box (closing section)

Ah thanks for the info maddox!
I think I have to buy some Roine Stolt-related material.
Since I like Neal Morse's stuff too, and simply love the drumwork of Mr. Dream Theater, as well as the basslines in Kino, Transatlantic will be on my wishing list then! (Bridge Across Forever is an amazing album I love every bit of it (although I think sometimes they seem to stretch a song tremendously...))
But The Flower King also seems like a nice piece of work, I might buy that one too. I saw a very interesting version in the alternative music store in my town, which was the 7inch-artwork-package-version. Along with a poster and some more things. Maybe they still have it. ;D Only 3000 copies were made, if I'm not mistaken...

When at work in the supermarket I found myself humming Lover's Leap (first part of Supper's Ready) of Genesis.
Now i'm listening to the song, which is an amazing song, isn't it? ;)

A lot of funny things in here, such as the helium voice "Mum to mud to mad to dad. Dad diddly office, dad diddly office. You're all full of ball. Dad to dam to dum to mum. Mum diddly washing, mum diddly washing. You're all full of ball." Funny stuff, I have a big smile on my face everytime I hear it. ;D
