But it's so good, Tom.

In fact, it might turn out to be my favourite Ayreon album.
That would mean that it would knock off ITEC from the number one place.  :D

Man how i love this album.  :D

I have this afternoon been playing Ghost Circus - Across The Line. It is absolutely fantastic, A concept album of extream light and shade, beauty and heaviness. Excellent Music.

Yeah John, there was some talk about it on the Frost forum eh?
I will check it out, I saw a video on YouTube.
Very good!

I'm listening to:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=NY5_nQAPGXY
A video of "Way Out Of Here" from "Fear Of A Blank Planet" (Porcupine Tree).

This band really has something with trains or something... They even have a song called "Trains"...

In the 70s, Prog was all about dragons and wizards... now it's all about trains.
Oh! And telephones!

I figured some of you guys might like them. Last night the whole album was played and can be listened to again HERE. This will let you save the file to your HD, since the bit you want starts around 175 minutes in thats probably not a bad idea!

PH

At the moment I'm listening to Paco de LucĂa, Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin on YouTube:

Amazing, seriously people, check it out...

NP: Airbag - Safetree

Anybody familiar with this band? I know I've said it a lot, but they are great! They have an EP out, which you can download for free on their website. I'm sure you'll not regret it. You can find the songs here: http://www.airbagsound.com/?page_id=118

Well, yeah. I'm VERY impressed!
Although I'm only 2 minutes into the first song, but it is definately very good music!

Something strange:
I was playing Porcupine Tree first (Voyage 34), and then I stopped, and at that exact chord were I stopped the music, the music of Airbag began with the same chord!! And then the music sounds like a mix of Porupine Tree, Riverside and (yes indeed) Arena!

Brilliant brilliant! This one will dominate my MP3 player for a few weeks!
Thanks Tom!

-Paco

EDIT:
Btw Tom, you hopefully DO know that there is more to download on the right side of the site? ;)
Cool!

Paco, I'm glad I could add something to your musical education, although I'm only slightly older than you...;) But serious, it is indeed very good music! I've had it on repeat for most of the day now, and I'm still not bored by it.

And of course I noticed the other downloads on the right side of the site, but I have not listened to it properly yet. So I think it's a bit too early to tell if those songs are just as great as their latest EP...

Yes folks, this IS VERY good! A great discovery on a quiet wednesday evening. It's been long since I heard something as good as this. Seriously I recommend this to ANY Shattered Room member!!

I guess they already have an album out, I really want to buy one. Wishlist time again! 8)

Nice find!  They say on the site they were inspired by Pink Floyd, which you can definitely hear.  Sounds a lot like them with a "softer" feel to it.  I like it.

Still find it rather monotonous and low-key, compared to e.g. Dillinger, but I'l return to it occasionally, as there are so many people who laud it.
