NP  Pepper's Ghost

A slower grower than Contagion, but just as great  *horns*

Despite the tight budget, Pepper has been produced perfectly, a rich sound experience too.

Beginning to understand why A haven't broken through. To get hooked onto this sorta music you really have to have a sixth sense that tells you that this is super stuff (or been born with a prog spoon in your mouth)  :)

NP  Pepper (still)

Can't get rid of it ...... Well, guess I'll have to. Mom's comin in a moment, and she can't distinguish between Arena and Marilyn Manson  ::)

Man, John can shred as wild as Master JP and Stevai (on The Shattered Room - hm, where have I seen that name other than Pepper?  :D )

"Set them free" - one of the greatest moments in rock!!!

Ian sounds like someone just poured a bottle of amphetamines down his thoat at that point  ;D ;D ;D

Neal Morse - One
I played the first song to a friend at school and he liked it! I lend him the cd so I hope another proggy will join us soon! :P

And in the train back to home I played Neal Morse - ?.

I hope Neal won't break his rhythm and will come with a new album in 2008! *horns*

Despite the fact that Mr. Axl R. is/was a rather unusual type of person (which is a decent description  ;)) G'nR has written some amazing stuff. In fact i consider Use Your Illusion pt I & II as albums that are a Must-Have. In my opinion, without these two albums, your CD collection isn't complete.  ;)

Nicky007

No, Maddox, now you're letting your goodness run off with you. G'n'R is bread and butter rock, very basic, classic rock. What makes it interesting for some is that you got this crazy guy doin his antics, but that doesn't enrapture me. If I want some rock with a good rhythm and drive, and some great shredding, I'll go for Steve Vai or Vanden Plas anytime - a lot more intelligence there.

I'm playing Guns'n'Roses  ;D  no, I'm listening to The Visitor. Great album, but I must say that after several spins of Pepper and Contagion, Visitor doesn't grip me as much as the other two. Also, Paul Wrightson is an excellent singer, but Rob is simply so unbelievably good, so fully present at every moment, gives every syllable a special depth, that guy was a treasure for Clive & Co. - mmmmmmmm (although I know that you like Clive's singing better  ;D )

Arena simply don't cease overwhelming me with their creativity and depth. I've been through a lot of written stuff of all sorts through these many years of my life, but Clive's lyrics, they really get my mind spinning. I played The Butterfly Man several times, and my mind went off in all directions - what's that guy up to? Crazy, fun, and I would even say edifying - and I think even my Christian sentiments are deepened.

People tell me that I'm still very much a child, but what, should I at 52 sit and gape at endless series of detective stuff and tennis matches on TV, and buy cars and boats and keep on extending my house? Let me have good prog and a cold beer anytime - btw I'm just enjoying a marsh special: a cold Heineken - mmmmmmmmmm.

;D Tom. I hope you're nicer than Clive's BM. What actually made you choose this as your alias? Did you know at that time how mean and evil the real BM was?

But I can follow you in that the song is a killer.

I got to listen to the new Porcupine Tree song "Nil Recurring".
Very good!
I hope Porcupine Tree will release another special edition of Fear Of A Blank Planet with the songs of the mini album with it, because I hate buying singles, EPs etc etc...

Hey Wicky Nicky, don't worry : she only forbids me to listen to prog-rock (and especially DT), to watch TV (and especially sports) and to be late (even for one minute). But she hasn't banned forums discussions so far although she finds it very childish, of course  ;D ...

NP - Guns N' Roses - Estranged   As good as any prog metal ballad, no ? Just telling that for the pleasure of controversy  ;)

When do we drink this beer ? We have a local one, called Markus, quite good and giving you all choices : blonde, brune, blanche ou ambrée  8)

If you give her a kiss and tell her she's the most wonderful woman on earth, she'll let you do anythin. "Woman, thy name is vanity!"
