NP: Devin Townsend Project - Epicloud/Epiclouder

Good stuff, although kind of a strange mixture of heavy and not.

Mostly playing otherwise (been in my car a lot lately):

Riverside - S.O.N.G.S.  Not bad, although not their best work IMO.  The sound on the first song is decidedly odd and not to my liking, although the second song is excellent.

Echolyn - Echolyn   Really enjoying this one.

Porcupine Tree - Octane Twisted   I really want to see these guys live now.
"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

Not listened to the last one yet , as it is not Enya !! cheeky sod , but the reports are that it is decent

As to Dragonlord - i cannot listen to that satanic stuff as it goes totally against the Christian beliefs
i struggle to hold to Nick. What is your take on that ?

Til now I havent found their lyrics that risqué, not more than Opeth's ... and what would my life be like without Opeth  :(

Moving. Clever. Beautiful. Tracy Hitchings' high pitched voice won't be everybody's cup of tea (think of a less theatrical Kate Bush) but the music is highly enjoyable.

NP  Negura Bunget:  OM  *horns*

By no means plinky-plonky, as one would think from the title, more in the Opeth alley  ;)

Romanian metal group - Dracula metal  ;D  - from Timisoara, without comparison the most progressive city of Romania, where the revolution against Ceacescu's regime started  8)

What I only realized recently was that "om" is the Romanian word for "human", so it's a play on words  :)

Can't quite get what it's about yet, as they sing in Romanian (not a language that I master), which I think is great (crush the English imperialism in metal  :D ), but I have to get the stuff translated .....

Yeah, man, there's sooo much great music around these days. Don't you agree, Paxi ?

Actually, one of the reasons I have the pantheon is to tip other music lovers. Some real fine groups in there to supplement your pantheon too, Paxi, I'm sure  :)

Thanx, Funky Boy. That song's been on my classic list for a year now  *horns*

Yup, super group, Negura Bunget. An obvious choice for Opeth fans  ;)

Hi all, long time no see...

Lately, as I find very little time to sit down and seriously listen to an album, I tend to have youtube running in the background, if anything. And when I do that, I like to have drum'n'bass running, especially a Schublade called "Neurofunk". To give you an idea, you may want to listen to this.

No screaming guitars for me, atm...  ::)
Arriving somewhere, but not here....

after posting my previous post, I had to click on your A7 link, Nicky. Good stuff, will see if I cann keep up the whole hour or so :)

anyways, a video listed on the right hand side of the youtube tab caught my eye: Texas Hippie Coalition - Turn It Up. Tasty video, but the lyrics are... well, limited ...  *horns*

Marvellous crystal clear and crisp production too  8)

And these guys were only in their twenties. How can anyone have so much talent at that age  :o
