Arena TSDOS  trying to get to know it better
don't fly... too close to the sun

tired_of_dancing

I put aside my proggy stuff today and...
Springsteen - Born In The USA
                    - The Ghost of Tom Joad

both great albums but completely diverse.
I hope you allow me to rave a bit more about Springsteen sometimes. :)

I briefly thought about ordering tickets for Wrecking Ball tour. In Frankfurt/Commerzbank Arena in May 2012, but its a point of time now where you can only get the better seats or so called  "front of stage tickets" (new thing at least for Frankfurt) on ebay or so. The ticket scalping brings prices up to 200 Euros.  :o
I'll keep an eye on how it develops.

Haha, if that makes you feel better, I listen to Springsteen too.  ;D Yeah, probably one of the most expensive gigs on Earth...
Let your conscience decide !

Welcome back, Aswas!  I hope you're feeling well.

I spent several hours listening to morow.com last night.  The program director sure does like Saga and Brother Ape (anyone know this second band? -- seems kind of interesting).  In any case, it's a good way to hear some prog that you may not have heard before (as well as some stuff everyone knows).  I may have to get myself some Sylvan, which I know some of you like.

JP: Arena - TSDOS      (Almost ready to comment on this one.)

NP: Buffalo Tom - Sleepy Eyed    (Not prog, but a band I'm fond of)
"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

Iggy

Jp Subterranea - IQ  *horns* *horns* *horns*
NP On the Sunday of Life - Porcupine tree

Teunis

Today:
Wolverine - Communication Lost
Airbag - All Rights Removed
Steve Lukather - All's Well That Ends Well

np: DeeExpus - King Of Number 33
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'
-------------------------------------------------------
Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Playing this on progstreaming.com.  What a great site!  Thanks for mentioning it.  I wish I'd known about it sooner!

More fun with progstreaming.com:

JP: Gazpacho - London  (live album - contains "Dream of Stone" and is therefore worth owning by definition  ;D )
Discipline. - To Shatter All Accord  (really interesting stuff - I may have to get this one.  My only quibble is that the vocals could perhaps be mixed more to the front.)
Brighteye Brison - The Magician Chronicles - Pt. 1  (pleasant, but I'd hoped for a bit better from what I heard on morow.com)

NP: X-Panda - Flight of Fancy  (prog metal according to Prog Archives, not all that heavy though.  Sounds good, mostly instrumental and the first Estonian band I've ever heard)

"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

PH

Today I played:
Satellite - "Evening Games"

The title track is absolutely stunning. It's a great album and it made me realise once again that 2005 was a fantastic year for prog.
Don't you agree?

Haven't listen to it in ages!
Actually, the only track that I remember is the title track and indeed, that one is pretty good.
Good old fashioned neoprog from Poland.

NP Angra : Angels Cry

Their first album, with Alex Holzwarth (from Sieges Even, RoF, Avantasia an many, many other bands/projects) as a session drummer. I find him very good at giving songs an epic fast-paced rhythm. Deenie, if you step by, as a drummer yourself, what's your take on Alex ?
