Tss, tss, don't be so desperate : http://www.kinomusic.com  ;)

Hmm, this appears to be the disc Paco said was sold out.  Anybody know for sure whether it's currently available?

I'm sorry to say they do, although it's not normally spoken of in polite society. This one is actually a compilation of shorter remixes and extracts as an introduction, presumably, for Ramones fans who expect the fade-out to start soon after the "1,2,3,4" call to arms.  Personally I think it's the least interesting thing they've ever done, nothing much seems to happen compared to the grown-up equivalents ;)

I'd like to see what The Flower Kings would do with a bunch of Ramones covers, actually.  Might be something great.  ;D

NP: nothing exactly, while I run around preparing stuff to take to the bank and post office, but I've got passages from King Crimson's "Starless" playing in my head.   ;)

I am really glad that I now have an avenue to get our bands music. Heck I will just buy it all on The Verglas Shop Site

Is it a shredfest from beginning to end or is there some gentle playing as well? Not that I can't stand a shredfest, but I'm just asking... :P

There is some gentle playing, but admittedly, most of it is pretty high pressured. But, I mean, what would ya expect from Jeff L ?

One can recognise a lot of Nevermore in ZOP.

For long, I thought that Warrel Dane was the genius of Nevermore - cause he seems so weird, and he sings so weird, and the stuff he sings about is so weird - but I find Jeff's soloalbum much more exciting than Warrel's, and much more vintage Nevermore - altho what I do find great about Warrel's album is that he's so brutally honest there.

But basically, Tom there's only one thing to say:  ZOP is a must-have for anyone with true prog b*s - I mean, just like Black Clouds and Watershed  ;)

So just getit ... and then we can discuss it. Tellya, you'l be far from disappointed  :)

BTW, have you heard John Petrucci's 'Suspended Animation'?

No, but I'v moved it to the top of my shopping list. Of course I have to have it  8)

I'm looking forward to Ten's album Pearl Jam  ;D

I have Watershed.  Does that mean I have one b* like Lance Armstrong?

NP: In Tenebris - Live @ Reverence

A defunct goth band from Virginia, USA.  Dunno that most of you would like it, but I like the unusual and haunting female vocals.  Most of their stuff never got officially released, but the band's leader made it available for free download on his website, I guess cause he wanted it to be heard.

NP: Frost* - Experiments in Mass Appeal

Wasn't all that thrilled on the first play.  Giving it another shot.

Even more bizarre is The Beautiful South's version of 'Blitzkrieg Bop' on 'Golddiggas Headnodders & Pholk Songs' - most disturbing ;)

NP: XTC - Transistor Blast CD2

JP: Magenta - Metamorphosis (consisting of 4 songs, 2 of which top 20 minutes  -- but fairly noodle-free)

That UK outfit that I ordered another Magenta from is taking its sweet time.  I've had the Marillion album I ordered from Racket at the same time for a few weeks now.   :-\

NP: Gazpacho - Night

Since I'm currently without a car to play it in, I have to get my fix at home.  I'd vote this album of the year, but it's a couple years old, so I'd have to post my vote retroactively.

I actually went through a Dave Matthews phase a while back and own a few of his CDs.  I even played one recently.   I neglected to mention it here because I kinda of thought it would be considered icky by Room standards.  Glad to hear I'm not the only one who enjoys it.  I'm sure Steve has 6 or 7 DMB CDs, but that doesn't guarantee that he likes them.   ;)

Ho-ho ;D

I'm not familiar with the artiste's work and I don't think words like 'nice' and 'icky' will encourage me to take an English punt any time soon ;)

OK, now I realised what the Lance Armstrong jive was about. Sad, seriously  :(

Yeah, media sports don't interest me (maybe my IQ is too high  :o ) - except for the cheerleaders (to keep mine runnin)  :D

Actually Time Bomb is a real good song. Dave Matthews is a very expressive singer. He can make his voice as warm as Eddie's  8)

In a way, although it's also rather inspirational since he recovered and went on to become a cycling legend.

Not sure what a "media sport" is.  In the US, you have to search pretty hard to find coverage of the Tour de France.  I think of cycling as a fairly sophisticated sport.  At least it's not known for its hooligans.  I also think anyone who can complete that race let alone win it is a phenomenal athlete.

NP: Riverside - Anno Domini High Definition   *horns*

I don't even know if they had guitars in Poland before the Iron Curtain collapsed.   :o

I shall tell my mother, she'll probably emigrate.  My dad's always been a keen cyclist and has been watching the recent TdF pretty much 24/7

It's one of the most interesting sporting events to watch if you can get good coverage.

I've been to several Dead gigs, and I can say without fear of contradiction that if that were true, they'd all fall off their bikes.  First one I went to, I think I was viewed as lame because I was only drunk.   ;D   My belief is that cyclists don't have an unusually high rate of performance enhancing drug use compared to most other sports so much as it's tested almost to a fault in that sport, whereas it's checked now and then at best in most other sports.
