Crivens!  A web search has still turned up no Obama-friendly ones, but that link and also "The Magenta Shop" look good even converted to dollars, and the shipping is reasonable.  Maybe I'll do my usual two-at-a-time thing internationally this time and order that and Marbles from Racket.

I believe the above is the Steve Hackett album I actually do have on vinyl.  Need to get some Steve on CD and, as always, more Pixies.

I've used the outfit in my link a fair bit in the last couple of years and have found them reliable - in fact I think all of my Magenta stuff probably came from them.  Certainly worth considering.

I still can't have it.  We're still in the pre-order period over here.      Then again, I just ordered something from a UK site that Steve recommended.  If that goes well, I may consider using them to order albums with late release dates here in the future.

I sometimes have the idea that we're quite lucky over here in Europe, considering the releases.
It seems it's quite a challenge for European bands to get their cd over to the states.

Well, somewhat so.  What seems to happen a lot is the newest album will be available and everything else will be out of print and only available from re-sellers for gobs of cash.  I'm not sure what the deal is with release dates.  Devin Townsend is flippin Canadian, and Ki still came out later in North America than Europe.

How is the CD buying oing this year?

I need a new plan. I usually get home before Mrs I so am able to spirit the packages into my office before she gets home.

Given that she will be off for the next 2 - 3 months it may well dawn on her how many CD's I actually buy.
