But Happy Christmas? I thought we (Arena fans (and Prog fans)) don't like "Happy". We like "melancholy" and "gloomy" and "dramatic" and "sadness".

A very good point, there.  But, as an ardent Marillion fan, I'm nevertheless cautious about wishing folk a 'death and water' filled Christmas!
