Cheers, folks, for keeping some of the chit chat alive on this ole forum of ours.

Yeah, life. Man, we all have it. The longer you're in it, the more you think, and thinking is ok, as long as it's not destructive - especially when you're thinking about yourself. Sometimes I envy people that don't. Maybe they do, but to me it looks like they don't.

My wife and I moved in with her dad about a year ago. He's 89, and needs help. He was OK with it, we rearranged the house so that we all have our space, except for the space that's really shared. Turns out, that his life has led him into a tunnel of routines that are impossible to break. Results are everything from suprising, to nerve-wrecking, to sad, and other emotions. On top he's convinced, he doesn't need help. In the last thress months he "burned" about 2000€, by taking 500€ off his account in cash, and forgetting where he put it. He's simply not a team player, and he can't learn new things, ways, routines etc. Too much for our nerves, so we move out again, next month. We tried.
Our sons, who we "left behind" in our apartment, to establish a flat-share with two additional students, now have a life of their own, of which we are scarcely a part of anymore.

Hard truths, that need processing in the next few months.

But hey, we have music. Makes life easier in so many ways. I started singing more again. Good for my soul.

As of late I'm mostly listening to D'n'B, which I kind of re-discovered for myself. Chase & Status being amongst the very top of what I find interesting. It's distracting, and my bike rides are not long enough for albums any more...

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but I also got into Sleep Token, they're totally awesome and fresh.

np: Sleep Token - Emergence (from their latest album, really recommended)
jp: VOLA - Alien Shivers (wow! melodic, emotional, calming, who's cutting onions here....)
