I'd like to start a topic where we find references in lyrics from one band to another.
Starting off, I discovered the following line in Dream Theater's song Misunderstood on Six Degrees: Playing a lion being led to a cage.
Arena: Songs From The Lions Cage.
Riverside's song Volte-Face on Second Life Syndrome: You can put me in the lion's cage.
Beatles: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band --> Arena: Pepper's Ghost.
Anyone know anything about these crossreferences?
Anyone have others?
Nicky.
OK then......how about....
Pink Floyd, In the song The Thin Ice.....
Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice Appears under your feet
I'm sure I've seen that before!
"One For The Vine" from Genesis is mentioned in Arena's "March Of Time".
Two great bands connect! *horns*

I just discovered the following line in Dream Theater's Six Degrees, Track 2: Blind Faith:
Playing a lion being led to a cage
<nit-pick mode on> That line isn't from Blind Faith, but from Misunderstood.....<nit-pick mode off>
:D ;D :D

Thanks, Tom, I'm a perfectionist, so I always appreciate when people correct my mistakes.
The thing is that the title Misunderstood stood under the lyrics, so I misunderstood that ;D
Hope it's OK that I correct the original post, makes things clearer (if not this post here).
Nicky.
Pink Floyd's song A Great Day For Freedom on The Division Bell: The Ship of Fools had finally run aground.
Robert Plant's song Ship Of Fools on Now And Zen.
Dream Theater's song Sacrificed Sons on Octavarium: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
