Uhh... well... cool? ;D
Here you can see how it works... (http://www.musicglue.com/features.aspx)
One question:
I haven't done it already but how does it work? Do you need to download each track separately or the whole album at once? ???

Dunno - I haven't tried downloading it as yet. I'm tempted, but I'm not much for lo-fi downloads and it's not long until the official release of the album proper. He says, trying to convince
himself more than anyone else... ;D
Well, Maddox, you open the link that ironcow has provided us.
Then you click on the link that says "audio" next to the song that you want to download.
H will welcome you saying "Hello we're Marillion, the band that wrote and recorded the music that you're about to listen to."
Mark then tells you to fill in your email address, so you better do. Check the "I want to have this MP3 for free!" button and click on the "continue" button below.
An email will be sent to you and you have to activate it. After that, you can download the whole album! ;D
And there's this bonus track, that's only available in this download version, which is kinda cool, right?

Okay, got that, done that, one song on the hard drive. But...
Then push the buy stuff button? Cos i can't find 'download the whole album' anywhere just that 'name your price thingy with 0.75 service charge.

No. Go back to http://www.musicglue.com/marillion
And repeat the "instructions" like you did with the first song.
This time you don't have to go to your email address anymore. Just fill in your email address and click on "continue".
All will be fine.
Hopefully.
Well maybe it's me, but the only way that i can get the album is when i download each song separately. Not as one whole album at once. Weird. :-\

Me neither.
You have to download each song seperately.
But I clicked on the links with the middle mouse button (opening a new tab in Firefox).
That way it will be a lot faster. But the little movie plays twenty times... :P

Okay so it is the way i described it earlier. I thought you/me/everyone could download the album all at once after the first download.
Got it now. ;D

Nooooooooooooooooooo ofcourse not! What makes you think that, silly boy! ;D

Good (silly) boy! Have fun, there are some great songs on it! :o

Marillion has got this internet thingy. They really GET it.
I, however, will buy the good'ol' album in physical form.

Of course. That's the best thing a man/woman can do. The real stuff is way better and more interesting than any download will ever be.
And i already ordered it so.
I'm just very very curious.
How silly huh? ;D ;)

Well you're certainly right about that. 8)
But not on the 'silly boy' thingy. :D
Listen to it now and man, it's so good. Way better than Somewhere Else.
All the silly boys get out of the room NOW!
Only the clever boys can stay! ;D
On a more serious note: anyone going to one of the Marillion gigs?
I think I want to go to one of the four Dutch gigs.
But I don't know which one yet.

I'm going to the gig in Heerhugowaard on the 21st of November. Quite a long drive from Rotterdam, but it's on a Friday-evening so I should be okay since I don't have to work the following day.

Ahh that's on my birthday. I think when I go, it has to be on 22 november... but I'm still not so sure whether I should go or not.
€ 32,50 is a lot of money... :( :( (and I'm not THAT much of a fan...)

Marillion has become so predictable and boring... the new album sucks big time!

In your opinion. ;)
I must say that "Happiness Is The Road" has surprised me really. I was never a Marillion fan. Then I listened to "Anoraknophobia" and thought it was really good! And "Misplaced Childhood" followed. As well as "Script For A Jester's Tear". These were all really good! Then I got "Fugazi" and "Clutching At Straws", these I didn't really like (as of yet), but "Seasons End" really got me! Now I'm slowly becoming a fan, I suppose. And all of that in less than a year. :D
Now my favourite Marillion albums are:
- Script For A Jester's Tear
- Misplaced Childhood
- Seasons End
- Anoraknophobia
And "Happiness Is The Road" will probably end on that list too.
(Still have to buy "Marbles"!) ;D
-Paco
A few suggestions, Paco.
- Retry Clutching ... cause (though dated, naturally) it's a masterpiece *horns*
- Get Marbles because it's a very good album, although it took me some time and many listens to realize it.
- Try Holidays in Eden, especially the two CD's version which contains many gems (although many fans find it too poppy, which I don't)
But as far as I'm concerned I don't think I will buy Happiness :P

Clutching at Straws is by far my favourite album from the Fish-days. Nowadays it's still in my top3 Marillion albums, along with Marbles and Afraid Of Sunlight.
So yeah, Paco, keep on trying! :)
Tom
Ok ok, I'll give Clutching a spin this evening...
Perhaps a strange question:
What does the album look like?
I mean, it's a double album, but is it in a slip case? Like Kino's Picture? Or more like Neal Morse's One? Or like Spock's Beards Deluxe version of Snow?
The reason why I ask this, is because I want to make room for it in my CD rack. It's all in alphabetical order...

The deluxe edition of Marbles was too big for my cd-rack so if the new one looks the same I don't think it will fit. Although I like special editions a lot, I hate when they are so special that they won't fit in my cd-collection and I have to put them among my DVD's. The same goes for Ayreon's latest album, which is also in the DVD-department... :-\

If you get the Deluxe edition, it looks like this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=voV9cvyp82E
It's not going to fit in a normal CD rack as it's substantially bigger than a normal jewel case. 165mm x 160mm approx.
Ooooooooohhhh ;D that looks beautiful!!! ;D
I can't wait for it!!
