Title: Soundoo
Post by: PH on Mon, 2007-06-11, 22:18:19
Does anyone know if this website is reliable?
http://www.soundoo.com/

I'm always very careful with these things... But I don't know how to check if it's reliable...

Bjorn Lynne (http://www.lynnemusic.com), the man who's music has come to my ear lately refers to this site, so I guess it's reliable... but still...

I really have no idea, PH. I ussually order at either nlstore.nl or CD-wow but this site is unknown to me. The best way to make sure is to buy something of course.

Yes, you're right... I've ordered two albums by Bjorn Lynne now through that site.
Let's see what comes of it.
I'm quite excited and I feel very impulsive too... :-[

This was not on my longtime wishlist, but it came on today...
This is gonna be an expensive month. After this month I won't buy any more CDs for some more months...

I hope... :P

Ok, I feel a bit sad... On 11th of June I ordered two cds.
I paid through banktransfer and it costed me 31,07 euros.
The same day it was taken from my bankaccount, but Soundoo said that I hadn't paid yet...
So I sent an email to Soundoo two days after ordering with the question what to do etc. etc.
No reply.
So yesterday I emailed again and, still no reply.
Today I also emailed the artist himself: Bjorn Lynne. Maybe he can persuade Soundoo to answer my emails.

Tragic... >:(

That's appalling some of these companies need to learn a thing or two about dealing with customers.

Call them, ask and write down the names of the people you've spoke with. Get a copy from your bank that the money HAS been payed and confront them. Keep calling them every day.
Don't forget to write the names down, and it's bound to work.

Tragic indeed. That's why i always save my email confirmation. You do have gotten one, right? If not, always ask for it otherwise no deal. Like i said i ussually order at nlstore.nl and that always comes with a confirmation. That's the easiest way for both parties.

But indeed...keep mailing/calling/whatever. You're bank says it has been paid so it has been paid.  ;)

I haven't found a phone number, but I will look for it. Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it!

And Maddox, I have a confirmation email.

Then there's no problem: You've paid. Period.
If they've lost track of the money that's their problem. Not yours.

Wait! It's a confirmation email of my order, not of my payment.

I was assuming you also had a confirmation mail involving your payment.  ;)
That was what i meant.

No.

I ordered two cds.
As soon as I ordered them I got an email telling me that they received my order and they gave an order code with it.
And then they say:
"If you have chosen to pay by bank transfer, please make the payment quickly so that we can process your order.
You can view your order and payment options here: https://www.soundoo.com/listen/en/my_orders"

Right then I made over the money and that's the end of everything.
I viewed my order om my account, following that link, checked it everyday, but it says "not paid yet".
I emailed them twice, and no reply etc etc.

Guys!

Finally I got an email and it said:

"We have received today your payment for your order nb. CD-001529. We will process your order shortly."

I checked it on my Soundoo account and there it was... the beautiful letters, the long awaited for status: "currently processing".
I'm glad that it's happening finally. But 1. It took faaaaaaaaaaaaaar to long, 2. they still didn't reply to my emails, 3. I'm still pissed.
To sum it up: this will be the last time I order something through Soundoo.com.

Anyway, I look forward to the two discs to fall through my mailbox.

EDIT:

Very funny...

The new status is: shipped.
Which means I will get it next week already.

Now, suddenly everything's going real fast.

Maybe I get my replies to my mails after all! ;D

I would recommend that you use Amazon in the future, PH. They're entirely reliable. You usually find the cheapest prices in the shops that are connected to Amazon. That works fine. I've purchased 3/4 of my collection of 800 CD's through this network. If you don't find your CD or DVD at the British or German Amazon site, you can usually find it at the American. Plus you have all the excellent reviews.

Amazon rules.

No, it hasn't arrived yet. The music is worth the trouble, I'm sure of that.
But it took way too long.

I'll tell you all when I have it! I expect it to arrive this week.

No not yet...

Funny thing is, I've emailed them 10 minutes ago.
This is what I mailed:

QuoteDear reader,

I don't know how to put this right (I'm just a 19-year old Dutch boy).
First of all, let me say that I'm glad that you received my payment and have shipped my order ( CD-001529), but I have a few "questions":

1. The music is shipped on June 28. How long does it take to get it over here in Holland? With all respect, but we're almost two weeks further since shipment... (And a month since ordering!!)

2. The status in "my order history" of my account on Soundoo.com says "completed". I don't agree with that since I haven't seen anything yet. Who should I contact to know more about the status of my order?

3. I'm pretty sad to say that I'm not pleased with the customer service. I've emailed twice before and never got a reply. Will you be so kind to reply to this email? That way I don't feel left in uncertainty. A month without proper contact is very bad advertisement for your business in my humble opinion.

I'm still amazed about the amount of artists listed on your website and encourage you to go on with this wonderful idea. But I have to admit that where I was first quite excited about your website and couldn't wait to order a couple of CDs, I'm a bit reticent now since my experience with ordering, payment and the contact between customer service and myself.

I apologise for my poor English.
All the best with the business, have a good day and I hope for a reply!
