Title: The Winery Dogs
Post by: maddox on Sun, 2013-05-19, 17:58:42
Mentioned this in the Flying Colors topic, but Mike Portnoy (ex-almost everything), Billy Sheehan (mr. Big among others) and Richie Kotzen started a band called ...tada... The Winery Dogs.

It supposed to be a band with English ex-Whitesnake guitarist Jonn Sykes but John was a bit lazy.
In fact, too lazy to bring this thing up to speed, so Billy and Mike decided to end the collaboration with John and move on to Richie Kotzen.

If you want to know how it sounds, than check this:

or

It reminds me a lot of The Tea Party. :)

Super  *horns* *horns* *horns*

Thanx a lot, Mad  :)

I think you knew I'd go for this  8)

Billy Sheehan is my nb 1 bassist, and Mike P one of my fave drummers.

Richie Kotzen I'd never heard of before - surprising, man - but that sure's gonna change .....

Man, what energy !!!

Wow. I mean, I wouldn't buy that CD, as it's not my style, but these guys are real wizards. Especially the bass man. The music mix actually puts him quite more in the front than on most other productions, methinks, but he's worth it.

Comparing to this one below, it's actually still pretty big. ;)

Especially the bass man.

I'd like to inform you, Cap, that "the bass man" is the greatest bassist in the world: Introducing Billy Sheehan  ;)
