Leprous - Coal
BBT - English electric full power
Fish - Feast of consequences

To start with anyway  ;)

Teunis

Okay, in alphabetical order (too early to put them into favourite order):

Airbag - The Greatest Show On Earth
Ayreon - The Theory Of Everything
Comedy Of Errors - Fanfare & Fantasy
Cosmograf - The Man Left In Space
Days Between Stations -   In Extremis
Lukather, Steve - Transition
Nolan, Clive - Alchemy, The Musical
Nosound - Afterthoughts
Riverside - Shrine Of New Generation Slaves
Sound Of Contact - Sound Of Contact
Subsignal - Paraiso
The Aurora Project - Selling The Aggression
Von Hertzen Brothers - Nine Live

Probably Days Between Stations and Airbag will enter my top-3, not sure about the rest yet.

Also a few live albums:
Arena - Live Recorded 2011/12 Tour
Morse, Neal - Momentum Live
Muse - Live At Rome Olympic Stadium

Frankly speaking I haven't played the Arena live cd that much. Don't have the live feeling, because it contains recordings from several gigs ::).
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'
-------------------------------------------------------
Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

The ones that are underlined are at least nominated for my "best of 2013".

A more definitive list (and why I think these are the best) is coming up.

Excellent, Paxi  *horns*

I'll have to check up the latest Riverside and Spock's, the groups are pantheon with me, but some time ago now - too much exciting music around, man ;)

Do Spock's keep their high standard, despite the loss of Nick ?

I got my fill of PT and SW at a point, so I'll leave'm for a while - but definitely great music.

And I'll do some Ray Wilson too, like his singing a lot.

I'm getting into Haken's Mountain these days - have the cd - very special and exciting.

Riverside's latest album is not really a heavy album like they used to do. But I like it a lot!

You know, I really like Nick's voice and his drumming. But Spock's Beard v3.0 is pretty awesome! It took a while to get used to the vocals but I don't think it will be a problem for you, because you seem to like Ted Leonard in Thought Chamber and Enchant.

Don't forget that Steven Wilson's latest album is voted as the best album of 2013 on ProgArchives.
Besides this, James LaBrie, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess have this album in their top 10 list.

I'm not expecting you to go all crazy about his "Chasing Rainbows" album, but it's nice that you're willing to try. ;)

Thought Chamber and all Michael Harris are pantheon with me  *horns*

And yes, I like Ted's singing on Angular Perceptions  8)

I have three Enchant albums, which I listened to quite a lot some five years ago. Somehow they didn't quite make it to my pantheon. I'v been thinking of returning to them for quite a while now. Will do it soon ..... :)

Yes, I noticed that 8)

Have you listened yet to the new DT, Paxi ? If not, then do it. Quite an experience  *horns*

A top 5 list for 2013 without this album would be embarrassing (for you) ;)

Yeah, you'r right. You just haven't talked much about it, nothing like the enthusiasm that I have expressed ;)

So tell us what you think about it (maybe in a different thread). You must have played it a few times by now ....

Maybe because I'm not that much enthusiastic about it as you are. :) I like the album! And like I said, it's Dream Theater! You can't go wrong with Dream Theater! But when I look back on earlier albums (especially SFAM, 6DOIT, ToT and 8varium) this album is not the big surprise I was hoping for.

Well, here are a few of my posts to get you started:

But I'll promise to post more of my thoughts about that album. In fact, yesterday evening I wanted to listen to Dream Theater, but it was getting late, so I'll do that today! ;)

OK, Paxi, I'll admit that you'v written quite a lot about the new DT. I had actually read it all, but since it was your first reflections on it, I hadn't retained them so well.

I think that there are three major novelties on Self-titled:

1) Mike II is much more over it all, and one now hears his specialities clearly.
2) Petrucci has involved the other guys more in the composition and lyrics.
3) After some real ups and downs in DT, Jamies voice has truly matured and strengthened.

Even tho Along For The Ride is in the outset a pop song, they'v developed it to a real super prog piece, and one hears these three novelties in it  *horns*
