Good point. Karmakanic is very tempting at that price.

Especially when it's £12.98 for the CD!  I'm still very much in the "prefer it physical" camp, but if a download version is a third of the price it's a very tempting way to check out a band you're not sure about 8)

Today I got out of school and there 'She' was. On the doormat. Naturally I got very excited and couldn't wait to take a good look at the pretty thing. 'She' looked very beautiful. And 'She' sounded great too when I popped it in the player. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it (I had other things to do) but the 20 minutes were good spent and I enjoyed it very much.
My thanks go out to DPRP for letting me win and of course Clive Nolan for the wonderful compositions. And of course all of the musicians and artists who were involved in making this DVD a great pleasure!

Mastodon - Blood Mountain
Money - Another Case of Suicide EP

The latter EP is actually 3 bonus tracks on the band's 'First Investment' CD these days, but they weren't on my copy.  The good thing about downloads is you can just pick up a few tracks you want, so I've now sorted that annoying little problem! ;D

Today my brother gave me a present. :)
It was a double cd of Genesis: The Beginning.

It's the same as From Genesis To Revelation, but with some extra bonuses, like demo versions and 2006 remastered (remixed?) versions.
He got it really cheap.

And it's not even my birthday! :D

The Tangent - The World That We Drive Through

Eno - Ambient 1: Music For Airports

I just read an article on DPRP-reviews page of the new Hourglass album, Oblivious To The Obvious.
That made me very curious indeed, curious enough to order the album. Which i just did.  :)

If you like epical prog-metal in the vein of Dream Theater and Fates Warning, this is your chance.  ;)

All the varied music talk has inspired me to get closer to broke by ordering more CDs.

Today's arrivals:

Bruford - One of a Kind

Genesis - Trespass (yet another vinyl replacement) - Perhaps they hadn't quite reached their full glory on this one, but I still like it better than anything after Wind & Wuthering.

Today's arrival:

Genesis - Selling England By the Pound

Another vinyl replacement CD, of course.  Just down to Nursery Cryme and A Trick of the Tail, and I'll have CD copies of all the absolutely essential (according to sea mammals) Genesis albums.

In the mail today:

Arena - Songs from the Lions Cage
Arena - Pride

The Golden Palominos - Pure

I found the first two Arenas for merely one and a half times a reasonable price as opposed to triple.  Since Verglas appears to be indefinitely out of stock of them, I figured it was the best I was going to get, so I went for it.

Pretty nice albums. Especially the first one.

What are they up to nowadays? ;D ;)

I think they're cutting a rap single with Run-DMC.

So they abandoned their pop project then?

On topic again:
Yesterday I bought some nice computer games:

- Battlefield 1942, +The Road To Rome and Secret Weapons Of WWII add-ons (€ 4,99)
- Commandos: Strike Force (€4,99)
- Call Of Duty, +United Offensive add-on (€4,99)
- Tomb Raider: Legend (€1,99)

That's a total of €16,96! ;D

Have been playing Battlefield for quite some time now, and Tomb Raider too. Great game!

Yes, although there's a rumor that they'll be backing dancers on Justin Timberlake's next tour.

I've been avoiding my responsibilities by playing Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords lately.

Just arrived:

Golden Palominos - Box set consisting of the first three albums

I was very pleased to find this since 'Visions of Excess' (the second album, which I love and only had on LP) was out of print.  Three albums for a total of about $10.  I've never heard a note from the first or third before, but I would willingly have paid $10 for Visions of Excess alone, so  *horns*.

Hmm, you finally got a Devin Townsend album, and it's the one that I can't hear yet.  If you don't like it, I'm gonna make you send me yours and try another one.   ;)

Seems fair enough.  I estimate I should have made my mind up by June 16th, if that's any help ;D

Mine should be on the way then.  If necessary, have it airlifted over the Netherlands.  It will find a good home there.
