... but sadly, such is far from the case.

Hey, don't destroy my illusion that NYC is El Dorado, Greenie  ;D

Uhm, it's not a music DVD, but today I got the "Season four box set" of HOUSE, the only hospital series I can tolerate. Not only that, I adore it.

Manatee

Besides, then I can pretend I have enough money left to get these:

Phideax - The Great Leap
Phideax - Number Seven

Flower Kings - Space Revolver

Since I always did like their sound, just didn't go for the double helping of noodles, I decided I'd take a punt on Iggy's recommendation.

I knew that.  I just typed it badly and then made the second line match the first.  :P

I can spell; I just can't type, honest.  And if you're going to examine my typing too carefully, I'll be afraid to post at all.  ;)

Don't worry, i won't.  :D

I for one am a man who is sometimes bad in English and sometimes even more worse in English.  :-[

So i have absolutely no right at all to start complaining about others.  ;)

Your English seems pretty good to me.  It's certainly better than my Dutch, which is confined to the names of a few beers and a large breakfast item.    ;D

Darwin's Radio

Guess this once more goes to show how different our tastes are in the Room.

I played the three songs on Darwin's Radio's MySpace site three times.

Yes, it reminds me a bit of PT, but mainly of PT's early experimental, rambling period, and imo DW have nothing near the melody and intensity of later PT.

In fact, they remind me more of The Urbane, another band that leaves me cold, not to mention Frost*.

There seems to be a whole UK culture with this sorta music, and I presume, a corresponding fan base  ???

Well, each to theirs. At least I made an effort  ;)

Can't guess  ???

Nicky.

This is what I was thinking of, although it took me awhile to find it since I didn't even have the right first letter in the name.  I remember it as being huge, which it doesn't look to be in the picture.  On the other hand, it does say "serves 4".

Uitsmijter - my guess is that it means bouncer or chucker-out.

It would certainly be an effective chucker-out toward me: The ham I could adapt to, but melted cheese makes me mottle the floor  :-\

I've been so overwhelmed those latter days by my rediscovery of The Undertones' Positive Touch that I just ordered the maybe even more mythical Hyptonised   *horns*

Since I am into classic pop rock myths at the moment, I also ordered XTC's English Settlement  8)

Iggy

A live album of Frost*, called Frost*fest.

Actually, it looks more like a promo to me.
It has been given away during the concerts in the US.

And i've got one.  ;D

With Gem, JJ I ( ;)), Declan, John M. and a certain Nick D'virgilio.

It sounds quite good.  8)
