Just edited my albumlist, since I can't edit it any more on the other forum. So from now on this forum will have the honour of having my Origanal Album Pimplist 8)
Added today:
- After Forever - Remagine
- Lacuna Coil - Unleashed Memories
By Transatlantic You mean the Album "SMPT E" I think, Stolt Morse Portnoy Trewavas. Waar kom jij weg? Ook uit Overijssel?

I come from Esnchede.
I wasn't sure the album was called SMPT E. I thought that was a very strange name ;D
An ORIGANAL album PIMPLIST... sounds awfully rude, doesn't it?! (Black Adder) ;D
I actually checked if I has really misspelled it ;D
No WS?! :-\
:o
I have to update this list any way :)
It's been I while, but I've updated my profile with the following albums:
Bryan Adams - Waking up the Neighbours
Alice Cooper - Greatest Hits
Cheryl Renée - The Reason Why
Dream Theater - Score
Greenday - Insomniac & Warning
Mark Knopfler - Golden Heart
Kyrb Grinder - What About Me
LadyLau - EP1
Marillion - Fugazi
Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura
Pendragon - The World
Queen - The Miracle
Spock's Beard - The Kindness of Strangers & Spock's Beard
Therion - Gothic Kabbalah
Threshold - Dead Reckoning
Within Temptation - Enter & The Dance
Messiah - Demo
Bruce Springsteen - The Essentials
And I'm sure I'm forgetting one, but I can't seem to find it. Ahwell, this is enough for now ;)
Impressive collection, Appelmoes, especially for a green apple. My guess is that you like rock music.
I'm thinking about getting an album by Within Temptation, now that I've heard so much about them in the Room. Which one can you recommend?
Thanks beforehand, and keep the good apples rock'n'rollin',
Nicky.

I'd say Mother Earth. It still sounds a lot like the they did when they just started, but it doesn't have any of those terrible grunts. The Silent Force sounds bigger, but bigger isn't always better. I haven't heard their latest since the single was so awefully commercial I decided to not buy it.

As serious as I always am here.
Have a nice Whitsun, everybody. We're on our way to my Mum's farmhouse in Småland (doesn't have a computer).
Nicky.
And Sonata Arctica's Unia is added to the list 8)
You're also a big Golden Earring fan aren't You , but You never talk about it
But yes it's one of the biggest dutch rockbands of course, and they made a lot of music...
Well, I don't consider myself a fan of anything (fan comes from fanatic, and I believe being fanatic isn't a good thing). But I really like their music, although I don't listen to it all that often.
Finally took the time to update my list :) The ones in red are the added ones. I was quite surprised DT's SC wasn't in the list already :o
Do you like Avantasia?
Or is one of those Rolling Stones Vs The Beatles things.
I love all thinks Ayreon/Star One/Stream of Passion but I also really like the Metal opera pts 1 and 2 by Avantasia

Also glad to see that you're getting into Kamelot :)
So how about givin Ten a go ? From your profile, I'm sure you'l like'm.
With Tool, I'm not so sure, but it wouldnt be the first time you'd surprise me ;D
Nicky.

I'm not that fond of DT's SC actually. Ok it lot's better than Symphony's Paradise Lost, but both albums are a bit to much metal for me :-\ It's a good thing DT still maked GREAT ballads.
Ten, I've seen you raving on about that band, but I can't even find their site on the net ??? Are they thát old?
And yes, Kamelot albums are on my "to buy"-list ;)
Apparently the Metal Opera is a follow on to Keeper of the seven Keys and has many of the same people as Helloween.
By the way what happened with Savatage you seem to have gone ballistic there.
Are they good? What sort of Music are they?
Savatage is some really good old hard rock, while in later albums they get more and more classical influences. Check out Streets and The Wake of Magellan, these feature both singers the band had (Streets Jon Oliva/The Wake Zak Stevens) and are (imo) the bands best albums. For more straight forward rock, listen to Gutter Ballet and Edge of Thorns. Again you'll hear both singers.
The guitar player is extremely good (Criss Oliva) but unfortunately he passed away too soon.
Their concept albums (Streets, The Wake of Magellan, Dead Winter Dead and Poets and Madmen) are pretty damn good and by chance those were the first albums I bought. After that I was curious to how their "regular" albums would sound and I was pleasantly surprised. Of course the older albums are a bit "simple" but still good rock.
Oh, I just thought of something...
Just "acquire" the song "Believe" and you'll be sold. You'll buy Streets ;)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Metal-Opera-Vol-1-Gold/dp/B00111WSNO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1215264715&sr=8-1
This is the version to get by the way it is cheaper and a special edition.

And maybe you'd like to for once read one of my posts that's longer than three lines, Appy ;)
my introduction of Ten (spent a lot of time on that), the first post in the thread on Ten, under Other Bands, in the Room :)
Ten merit a looot more attention than they're getting *horns* *horns* *horns*
hence all the raving.

I'll check it out as soon as my new pc arrives (I've got no sound on this one)

Opeth - Watershed
Nice sealed letter ;D
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
I have no clue how PT sounds, so I hope I'll like it...

Probably died of boredom (or disappointment) while listening to DT... (or, in the case "Black cods..." is a good album, he got so surprised his heart stopped from the shock).
