I just wrote lyrics for the next Ten/Symphony X/Dream Theater/Megadeth (or whatever band slightly related to metal) album.

The song is called The sweet revenge of Cicero which is a cool title methinks 

So let's go :

He fought along with Young Cato
Against Antonius and Caesar
Lost his life in this civil war
An unintentional hero

Is in the memory of his name
Did he expect to end that low
After a life so filled with fame ?

Well, maybe it's "by" afterglow or "at" afterglow or "on" afterglow ? Anyway I chose the word for the purpose of the rhyme and in my mind it was meaning  something like "near dark"

Indeed, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it. I'm really counting the days (23 still to go! ). Sure, it was a major letdown that my trip to Mexico got cancelled, but delving deeper into Cuba's culture and history has really awoken my interest!

I guess Mexico has to wait just a little longer...

Officially Aggravated - I've spoken to the legal folks.  It's not them I'm aggravated with.  An ex-wife of my (deceased) father is making a fuss about things she claims she never got that she was entitled to from their divorce.  This is ridiculous since the divorce and dad's death were over 10 years ago, and she surely would have spoken up then if she really thought she was owed something, however she's still managing to make a major pain of herself.  Since I'm the executor of the estate, that means she's being a major pain to me in particular.  Grrrrrrr.  This is definitely going to be a Guinness night, or possibly Dewar's.

Tired but cautiously optimistic - Was awakened by the estate lawyer today, but I forgive him because he had good news -- He did some research, and it looks probable that we can make the crazy woman's claims go away.  Think good thoughts for me because if that turns out to be incorrect, I might just eat some bad kelp so I don't have to deal with it anymore.  This being the case, I may not need you to come make threatening noises in French, Bupie, although if you felt like flying to Pittsburgh (famed for, well, not much, other than a failing steel industry and people who talk funny), we could go see the Three Rivers Prog festival, which includes IQ and It Bites this year.  Best not wear the brie pajamas there though, as the locals may not be cultured enough to appreciate it.

Similar story here.  A whole day in the garden: removed a tree and various bits of lawn amongst other things.  I feel just about ready to have a label tied around my big toe
