Your first computergame

C'mon tell me what was your first computergame?
And your second?
Third?
Fourth?

I know there are some people here who are addicted to gaming.
What was your first, and what was your favourite?

YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO TELL ME!!!
NOW!!!

1. My first game ever was 'Metal Gear' it was for an MSX-computer. The game dates back to 1987. I started playing it three years later when I was three years old. ;) Along with my dad who was addicted to gaming at that moment.
'Metal Gear' was about a man who's name was Solid Snake, he had to infiltrate into a fortress and find and destroy the ultimate weapon Metal Gear. It was a very cool game. Today many people know the game 'Metal Gear Solid' or its newest in its genre 'Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater'. I love the whole Metal Gear franchise.

2. My second game ever was 'The Legend of Kyrandia'. Man, that was a great game by Westwood Studios (Westwood doesn't exist anymore). The game was released in 1992 if I am correct. About a boy/man (Brandon was his name) who had his quest: bring down the evil court jester Malcolm. Later on you find out that Brandon is the one who has the right to be the king of Kyrandia. Blah blah blah, great game.

3. 'Command & Conquer'. 1995 was THE year for gamers. C&C was the beginning of RTS (Real Time Strategy). It had the best gameplay at that time. And the music was outstanding (Frank Klepacki was the musician for Westwood). The cutscenes were a pleasure to look at. Everybody knew there would be more to follow and yes, Red Alert was the second game in the series. Then Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 followed. Too bad the last C&C game (C&C Generals) wasn't a really good game. Probably 'cos EA took over, Westwood was disbanded. C&C is no more!! No future for C&C... :'(

My all time favourite games:

1. 'Metal Gear Solid' and 'Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty'
2. 'C&C: Red Alert 2'
3. 'The Legend of Kyrandia - Book III: Malcolm's Revenge'

Worthy mentions:
Commandos 2: Men Of Courage
Emperor: Battle For Dune

I'm not much of a gamer now, because my videocard is broken (64MB NVidia GeForce 2). >:(

I think it was "Snack Attack" on an Apple II. It was a lot like PacMan. There was also this silly game where one had to shoot down helicopters and paratroopers. It got boring and I felt kind of guilty killing all those poor, defenseless pixels, so I stopped.
I'm falling.....Falling down again!

CygnusX1

For me that would be 'Hang On', and also 'Safari Hunt', which were the two built-in games for the Sega Master System.  Christmas 1990 I got that, oh how I laughed at my friends who were still stuck with Atari 2600s. ;D

I never was into computer games, really, but one I can remember quite well is a game that's split up into two parts, above and below, and two competitors are driving cross country motor bikes. It was in 2D, on the C64 and me and my friends played it a lot.
Arriving somewhere, but not here....

OK ... an opportunity for those proper gamers to have a laugh at my expense ...

The first computer game I really enjoyed was the original Space Invaders.  I didn't own it, the Atari console and stacks of different game cartridges belonged to my best friend's big brother ... but when he was out of the house we used to sneak into his bedroom and load up Space Invaders or sometimes Tennis or Packperson ... that sort of thing.

Nowadays my gaming tastes are a little more sophisticated ... I have a later version of Space Invaders on my computer and I love playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, GTA 3 or Vice City.  I also have The Hitman Silent Assassin, but I've kind of gotten stuck on that one.  Another firm favourite is Championship Manager (or Football Manager as the latest incarnation is called).

So I guess I can't call myself a proper gamer or hold my head high in branches of GAME.

Indeed...
But guys from my generation don't think so.

I started to play computergames when I was three years old (1990), but I like all the old games. People were satisfied with it.
Now everything is about graphics, gameplay etc etc.
People don't enjoy videogames as they did back in the early 80s and 90s.

Really?
I thought MSX was a real Japanese product.
Most games were Japanese too.
(Like all of Konami's games (those were the best, you know.))
