I had for myself discarded this news and more or less decided to just get the new dvd, since I already have the three albums (the original released), but they did make this release very interesting and tempting with all the bonus tracks. I might just want to get this instead of the dvd and start regretting it later.. ::) I will retain my old copies of the first two albums though, because of the artwork and nostalgia.
Kudos to Metal Mind Records by the way for announcing the release of this box set now and not after the release of the separate DVD. Saves us from getting the DVD only to find out later that there's also a box set with the DVD included!
Fantastic news.

PH....Thanks for the detailed info. It's made my mind up...I'm going for the boxset..!! ;D
To that end, if anyone wants the 3 separate Shadowland CDs, they're here, along with some others (Both Nolan/Wakeman CDs)

I have ordered only the live DVD 'Edge Of Night' (same release date):

because I already have the 3 studio albums. Doubted though, because the studio albums are remastered 8).

On NLstore I've seen it (5cd+DVD) for € 49,86.

Hmm, that's what i consider cheap. :o :D
I've pre-ordered the box @ Beyond Rock (52,-), the load of interesting bonus tracks makes it worthwhile eventhough I of course already have the three studio albums.
Well, when it comes to Shadowland, i'm still a virgin. :-[ ;D :-X
Well, Mad, to remedy that the Edge Of Night DVD/CD or the Matter Of Perspective compilation would be the way forward for you. Or better still, the album Mad As A Hatter ;) ;D

Though that''s a reasonable price, I think true value for money comes from Poland once again [probably cheaper because that''s where the label is].

The entire box is 33 euro *horns*
That's about 5,50 per disc !!

Wow that is cheap indeed! Are the shipping costs reasonable as well? They are not included yet are they?
QuoteAre the shipping costs reasonable as well? They are not included yet are they?
No they're not. This is my favourite online shop, especially for Metal Mind or other Polish releases.
For example, I bought a live 2CD+DVD Wetton boxset (feat. John Mitchell!) for 15 euro, a 2 DVD Genesis-bootleg (Calling All Stations-tour) for 15 euro, Turbulence-CD by Landmarq (9 euro) and a 2-DVD by Porcupine Tree for 11 euro and some other stuff. All in all, 16 discs and I paid 110 euro, P&P included. Not bad, eh? :P

My Cautionary Tales box has arrived Friday and it really is an excellent release! Handsomely designed box with a nice booklet including the band's history and origins. The live material is really good ad I'm happy to have the various rarities in my collection now. Haven't watched the DVD yet, but that will also be a pleasure I'm sure.
How are the remasters?

How are the remasters?
Excellent, crisp and clear, but the originals were fine already. The real treat is the dynamic, vibrant live album and dvd, marvellous!
Guess what?
I've won a cd of Shadowland!!!! *horns* ;D ;D ;D
A Matter Of Perspective. :D
