Title: Keyboard
Post by: Clive on Tue, 2006-03-21, 17:11:57
OK... this may not be the best place for this item, but never mind.
Thin Ice studio are planning to get rid of a few bits of gear. I just wondered if there were any keyboard players out there who might be interested in a good old Yamaha SY77.  I have used it on many albums in the past, and even taken it on tour. It's got some great solid sounds and it's never broken down!..;)

Just a thought...;)

So how much do you want for it? and does it come with an 'as used by Clive Nolan' sticker?

Free? You kidding!...;)

I guess somewhere round the three hundred mark.... to be honest, I haven't looked at other prices on this.... that was Karl's suggestion...;)
I'm happy to give you a 'certificate of use'...;)

Worth the money on it's own!!!

But seriously, there is one on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-SY77-MUSIC-SYNTHESIZER-FOR-PARTS-OR-REPAIR_W0QQitemZ7397941479QQcategoryZ38091QQssPageNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) not working but they are looking for $200 (about £140 - £160?(**edit** £113.88 according to ebay)) so £300 sounds fair to me, specially with a certificate!

OK... 300 then.... there are also some sound cards..... I may even be able to find a flight case (not promising that yet though).

So... anyone who may be interested... give me a shout.....;)

To keyboard players this would be the ULTIMATE ARENA COLLECTORS ITEM on the face of the earth I guess :)

I already bought a Yamaha DGX-205. It's not a professional thing, but it's good enough for me... But a Nolan-board is sooooo cool. I want one, but I just can't do it...

Man, I have to work more, I don't have enough money for this sort of things... :P

So Clive, out of sheer interest, what other gear are you selling from Thin Ice Studios?

Oh... just an assortment of bits and bobs... Some more keyboards.... JP8000 for example. Not sure what else from the Studio... I'll have a chat with Karl...;)
We'll probably advertise the stuff on Ebay or somewhere... at somepoint...

I feel inclined to ask 'How much...?'

When you've spoken with Karl, can you post a list up here, or a link to Ebay? :)

Hmm. Sounds interesting.  I'm sure there are folks at Rosfest and also from some other boards that maybe reside in your neck of the woods that would be excited to have some of your rigs.  I could post the list for some other musicians who I know play keys who might be interested.  Just a thought if no serious takers turn up here.  Although I don't know if you'd want to lug your stuff to Rosfest, but if you were willing to lug to Holland....... Definately would want to give first dibs to folks here and the cage though.

:)
