Hey! they're playing Mr. Kyps in Poole!!   :o

Hey, you even got me confused, Matt. I even noted the concert in Malmö in my calender (for 2009). A concert with A.C.T is a big event for me.

Well, gotta wait again .....

Soon... 8)

I gave it a good thought, and I think this is my most anticipated album of 2013.
Yes, even considering Dream Theater, Ayreon, Big Big Train and Haken all (will) release(d) an album. Oh wait, Transatlantic will also release an album this year...

Hmm...

Anyway, it has ben six years since their last album (which was excellent!), so I'm looking forward to this album A LOT!

It amazes me that A.C.T isn't one of the most discussed bands here! Check out their albums already, they're all brilliant and without filler!

Nicky007

Thanx for info, Paxi.

We actually have talked a fair bit about A.C.T, it just lies some years back.

They'r pantheon with me, and I'm also looking very much forward to hearing their new album  *horns*

It seems as if this is gonna be their heaviest album!

I can't wait to hear it!!!!

PH

Their official website is in "Circus Pandemonium" style now too. (Not much to see there still.)

It seems they're Pepper's Ghost-ing up the artwork.

For all of you Japanese people in this forum it will be released on February 19th, which is next week!! (All together now: "Yeeaaaahhh!!!")
But all mere un-Japanese mortals have to wait a little bit, since there's no release date available yet.

This is of course perfectly understandable since most members of A.C.T are in fact Swedish. All would have been totally different if one of the members was a South African or, indeed, Pakistani.

Anyway: RELEASE THE ALBUM ALREADY!!! >:( >:( >:(
;D

Before I come up with a list of top 10 albums of 2015 (I'm having a hard time with that), I'll write a bit in here.

Like I said in the Now Playing Thread, I find myself listening to a lot of A.C.T lately, and I'm not going to apologise for that. In fact, I think this band must be the most underrated band in the world. I can account for EVERY album they put out. They're amazing.

Their latest album (Circus Pandemonium, 2014) is just as good as all the others. A.C.T always knows how to put accessible melodies within a proggy context and with this album they got even a bit heavier (again), there are some progmetal moments. I wonder what they come up with next.

I'm making myself some sort of 'Best Of' out of the five albums they have released, because in a few days, I'll have to drive a bit to the south of The Netherlands with a collegue of mine and I want to try A.C.T on him.

The problem is, I like all songs. Every song is as strong as the next one. I know Nicky listens (used to listen?) to A.C.T, so this is probably for Nicky, but anyone can help me. It must fit on a disc, so 80 minutes max. (roughly 16 minutes per album)

This is what I've come up with:

From "Today's Report":
The Wandering
Waltz With Mother Nature
Why Bother
From "Imaginary Friends":
Take It Easy
Hippest Flop
Imaginary Friends
From "Last Epic":
Walings From A Building
Wake Up
The Observer
The Cause
The Effect
From "Silence":
Puppeteers
Into The Unknown
No Longer Touching Ground
Call In Dead
From "Circus Pandemonium":
The End
A Truly Gifted Man
The Funniest Man Alive

Which is 83 minutes and 41 seconds.... :(

What would your A.C.T "Best Of" look like?

PH

Not too long now, and A.C.T will release their first live DVD!

Watch the trailer on YouTube!

According to the various online shops, the tracklist is as follows:

1. The End
2. Everything's Falling
3. Abandoned World
4. The Wandering
5. Waltz With Mother Nature
6. Take It Easy
7. A Supposed Tour
8. Svetlana
9. Wailings From A Building
10. Mr. Landlord
11. Dance Of Mr. Gumble
12. Manipulator
13. Joanna
14. Call In Dead
15. A Wound That Won't Heal
16. A Mother's Love
17. Manager's Wish
18. A Truly Gifted Man

And then there's the 'Making of' and a documentary.

Looking forward to it!

Bupie

Sounds promising !
