Silver Key - The Screams Empire

It was recommended to people who like IQ and Arena in the Dutch magazine iO-pages. As I like both bands, I give it a shot. Well, I do hear similarities indeed, but the execution of the songs and the vocals are not at the level of both mentioned bands. So I'll call it a once in a lifetime experience .

Probably one of the weirdest album-titles ever created. 

Heard about this band, but never listened to them.
Thanks to Spotify I have a chance to get acquainted.
Sounds. ... nice.
Not bad, bit like Jethro Tull, maybe?
Two songs on this album reaches the 20 minute mark so this could be something I'd like.

Like I expected, this is very likely gonna be my favourite album of 2016. No surprise as Neal's music is always precisely my cup of tea. The music, the lyrics. Really feel connected to it.

not exactly "playing now" but worth a mention anyway, as it was such a pleasure to do it:

Had to do a few hundered kilometres by car on behalf of business the other week, so after scrolling around in what albums I had with me on my phone, I started "The Wall" (that's Pink Floyd...) and took off. And was that a journey. People seeing me passing by must have thought I'm a madman or something. I still know this album's lyrics inside out and it was really a huge pleasure to listen to this album in its entirety - and to sing along

It's really good! Don't expect a big change in style or whatever. It's still Neal Morse like we know him. And of course there's some themes or certain melodies you think you recognise from earlier work, but it's all so well done. I love it! Perhaps it's too early to say, but I think this is easily the best Neal Morse album since "Sola Scriptura", or anything before Sola. And as some of you know "Sola Scriptura" is my favourite Neal Morse album. So this means that it's at least my second favourite. Already!

In those days, one ran into The Wall all over the place: with friends, on the radio, in shops, wherever. One experienced that this was BIG.

Man, how that has changed: Nowadays people are foolin about on their phones all around, and listenin to shallow music

Fortunately there are still serious musicians making great music. They just don't have much following - sad
