Quite possible, I've just never seen Murphy's someplace that didn't have Guinness too, and I love Guinness.   :)

It's great with butter on fresh white bread too. But smear it very thinly on the bread. Putting too much on is the usual mistake that people make, and then they give up, which is a damn pity, cause Marmite is  *horns*

Ooh yes, very nice.  As a hardened addict I can do 'thickly spread' these days, but it can be a bit sharp unless I'm really in the mood for it.

My other guilty (Della) brown pleasure is Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. Yum! *horns*

Yeah, I used to like it too, but when I became 100% veggie, hearing that it got herring in it, I gave it up  :-\

I heard that Pandas were used in the manufacture of that? ;)

Never knew it had herring in it. Can't make it out of it either.

Pandas may be involved in the processing, but I don't believe it contains anything that is, strictly speaking, part of the panda -- and certainly not a part the panda would want back.

I've never encountered Marmite, but from the hints I've gleaned from the prior posts, I think I can live with that.  Finally, who is this Della person, and does she often run about doused in Worcestershire Sauce?

Now drinking: Diet Dr. Pepper, which, come to think of it, is brown too.  I'm fairly sure no pandas were harmed (or complicit) in the manufacture thereof though.

Q. Do you make a vegetarian version of Worcestershire Sauce?
A. No. Lea & Perrins® Worcestershire Sauce is made to the original recipe created in 1837 and contains anchovies - a type of fish. We believe that altering the recipe to exclude a key ingredient such as anchovies would mean that Lea & Perrins® would no longer be the 'original and genuine' Worcestershire Sauce, as claimed on the bottle.

Watch the crowd go by
Fill your tin can with life
Summer days tend to slip away
Like your men you couldnt make them stay
Hard to choose, whiskey or a wife
Sometimes you wonder where's the end
Where you goin where you been?
Happiness seems so hard to win
Most never care to find
Della Brown sees it all the time
Looking for that man to make her smile again."

That's an interesting conclusion, Greenie: Jonesy, Iggy and I are crazy about Marmite. The only one who expressed discontent was Paxi, and that's cause he thought it was shampoo, and he wondered why his girlfriend turned her nose the other way  ;D
