I had to look those two words up ....

Great that you do that, Paco.

Let me then initiate you into a little secret:

There is a major bifurcation in life, usually in the teenages: People who are too lazy to look up words and memorise them stall intellectually. They pick up some titbits here and there, but never reach the higher levels of learning.

Otoh people who make it a habit to look up any word that they're not entirely familiar with develop intellectually and more and more feel at home at these higher levels. They then cherish the works of the great masters thru the ages - i.a. Shakespeare, Goethe, Dante, Hegel - and they converse with them.

... that when the question is crystal clear, the answer is at hand  8)

So my function is midwifery:

"What Socrates is doing when he calls himself a midwife is describing metaphorically his task as a dialectician. Professing his own ignorance (being "barren"), he seeks to help to "give birth" to wisdom in others that already exists in utero, as it were; often the possessor is unaware of even being "pregnant" with wisdom. Insofar as Socrates takes experiential data already possessed by a person and organizes it in such a way as an answer to a question—to produce an insight into the intelligibility of the data (a general truth), an intelligibility of which the person was previously unaware—he is functioning metaphorically as a midwife, helping in the process of giving birth to wisdom." - http://www.abu.nb.ca/Courses/GrPhil/Socrates.htm

The celebrator is not the celebrator anymore. He's now commonly known as the administrator.

Is it true that every time you pick one of your nose hairs, a brain cell dies?  ;D

Fortunately I don't need to know everything, as I can use Google  8)

So here's your answer, Mad:

Los nocirreceptores ubicados en las proximidades de los foliculos pilosos son estimulados por el tiron. Esta señal excitatoria viaja por los nervios nasales hasta corteza somatosensorial y otras regiones del tronco encefalicoque se conectan con centros del Sistema Nervioso autonomo. Este recibe estos impulsos y ( entre otras acciones) estimula la glandula lagrimal como respuesta ante el dolor.

You didnt say anything about language  ;D

But OK, since I'm in a good mood, I'l provide you with the English text:

"Your eyes water when you pluck your nose hairs because the hair is from the nose and it is connected to the cells. The nerve endings are shared through the nasal cavity. You cry because you lost a brain cell. Tears are a natural reaction to pain, because you are stimulating your snotoptical nerve."

Source:  http://www.youqa.cn/html/General/0101/general103631.html

I particularly like the bit about the "snotoptical nerve".

So, next question please  8)
