NP: Blackfield - Blackfield

Oddly, this album seems less poppy the more I play it.  Must look into acquiring Blackfield II.   *horns*

IMO Blackfield II is better than Blackfield.

Sally forth young one and purchase Blackfield II

Done.  Fortunately, one can sally forth without standing up nowadays.   ;D   And is Sally a nice girl?

That's something I found out too.

And I agree again. Although I have to say that at first I wasn't so sure about that.

Maybe it's a Megadeath cover of Abacab.

Not so many horns.  Still works fine though.  Also, it wins the money's worth award for efficient use of CD space - over 79 minutes long out of the possible 80.  Not mention, it doesn't suck.   ;)

I knew we'd swiped Chameleons from you, didn't know Suede too.  By the way, to go off on a wild tangent for a moment, the song "Swamp Thing" by your Chameleons is so great it's a wonder my head doesn't explode (a metaphor I believe I swiped from Gazpacho - band not song)

Not one I'm familiar with.  Has it got Mellotrons? ;)

I don't think so.  It's not terribly prog.  It's just great.  Of course, this is one of those strange instances in which I agree with the critics, so I may be deluded.  It's just one of those songs that "speaks to me."

Are you certain that one's not a "Crivens" instead?

I've been contemplating buying a download of Blind Ego for a while now since they seem to be part of the "won't send actual CDs to this continent" category.   :P

NP: King Crimson - Red

A perfectly respectable band that had the CD available in Boston and for a reasonable price at that.

Wow, killer album.  If 'Providence' gets less tiresome with more plays, it's five stars.

Also the least wimpy singing I've ever heard John Wetton do.
