NP: Pixies - Doolittle

I need more Pixies.  My brother's got a DVD of them, but he lives far enough away that the cost in gas and tolls to go steal it would be more than the purchase price for my own copy.   ;)

Same here.  I'm ashamed to admit I've only got 'Death to the Pixies' :o

Although it's really a fairly short album, Doolittle generally takes me well over an hour to play because I have to play 'Here Comes Your Man' and 'Monkey Gone to Heaven'  nine times each.   ;D

Actually, there's an Anne Hathaway scene in that movie which is most definitely heterosexual male-approved.

(At first I thought I must have been somewhere in the fourth song, but then I forgot the fact that the album starts with a 30 minute song... :P )

NP: The Jesus and Mary Chain - 21 Singles

I'm not sure I've ever played this all the way through. I bought it because I needed another selection to get a special offer from the cheap CD club some years ago, and I really like the song 'Head On'.

Yep I reckon since I joined the forum a year ago I have purchased about 150 cd's. Still it is all good stuff.

Yes, I struggle to get through JaMC CDs without my attention wandering.  This was a trend started in vinyl days when I loved the single 'Happy When it Rains' but struggled with the whole 'Darklands' album.  Nothing wrong with it, I hasten to add, just that JaMC can be heavy going for me.

True true true!!

I just played The Tangent - Not As Good As The Book, Disc Two: Throwing Metal At The Sky

Don't know what it is with The Tangent. Some bits are totally awesome and some other bits are very tiresome.
Actually, I think that's the same thing with The Flower Kings.
The cd's are filled to the brim with music, but I could do with a bit less quantity and focus a bit more on the quality.

But I'm sure it's also my fault.

I know what you mean I definitely have to be in the mood for The Tangent.
