Just done Asia - Phoenix. What a load of cobblers...I feel genuinely sorry for the line-up that's kept Asia going over the last few years.

NP-> Royal Hunt - Collision Course. My first listen, and so far, so good!

One man's poison etc, Teunis. Let us know what you think, eh?

It would morbidly please me a lot if this Phoenix album sucked. The reunion (in itself uninteresting as nothing on earth, but it brought about the demise of the Payne era) is one of the worst things to have happened to me as a music fan, ever. I will allow myself to be completely without rational thought on this sore matter.

I'm listening to 2 minute samples from Rick Altizer's Scripture Memory - Pop Symphonies.

Wow, this is really good. Rick Altizer was the second keyboard/guitar player and lead/backing vocalist as well as percussionist during Neal Morse's Testimony Tour. He really sounds like Neal Morse!
With this album he made a record that sounds like a mix of Neal Morse's and Spock's more poppy songs and Beatles.
Really cool.
But he didn't spend that much on the lyrics, since they are just exact verses from the Bible. But it works fine! :)
Very happy music!

Check it out all you Neal Morse fans!

I'm gonna buy this one for sure!

LSFNY??

What's with all these abbreviations?

PH

I'm listening to a tune that a friend of mine has written.
:o I'm amazed. It's so professional.
It sounds a bit like Neal Morse but faster! ;)

As soon as this guy has recorded a CD you will know! ;)

Hell, you are becoming more provocative than Wicky Nicky, PH ! Is that because you are frustated not being able to read French ?  ;D

And don't you like to try to guess what those abrevations mean ? Anyway, LSFNY = Live Scenes From New York

I'm playing nothing

Well, I'm playing on my keyboard. Just noodling around.
Sometimes I can go on forever on a loop and when I finally get free from the trance I realise that it's 20 minutes later!
Haha! :D

Got to work the ideas out into something sounding like a song...

Everything that is coming out of Clive's hands is great, I love it. You don't have to expect heavy stuff, but very melodious as always. Very good balanced vocals, well have a listen  ;).

I have listened to it once by now. Like it, but nothing special. They have played 'safe'. At the very first notes you hear it's the old Asia. I would have expected more, but maybe it isn't fair to be a judge after just one listening  ;).

Yeah... wouldn't you believe it?
It's been more than thirty years and there it is... still lying down on Broadway.
The poor lamb. It must be a sheep by now. A very old sheep actually.

Nevertheless, while we're counting out time, this sheep is still in the cage.
Anyway, it is a great album.

Gonna play it right away! Thanks Maddox!
