NP  SymphonyX:  The Odyssey

One of'm greaties   *horns*

Which of the two, The Odyssey or Paradise Lost, is the better, we can discuss till the end of time, and as long as the good beer keeps flowin (and Bluey stays in Germany), such discussions are fine with me   ;D  :)

One thing we cant discuss is that Russ is one of the greatest singers, because this is a f*in FACT   8)

NP Dream Theater - Misunderstood

NP  Korn: Korn   *horns*

You can say what you want about Korn's pubertarian tendencies, but they are one of the most imaginative bands on this planet, and they rock bigtime - and they're animal friends, which gives them an ekstra + with me.

Very cool organ and keyboard sounds!

(1977, Peter Gabriel (1 - "Car")) Solsbury Hill (ProgArchives)

I still don't get it... This is pop music, if you ask me...

People complaining that Genesis went pop and that Peter Gabriel should have stayed with Genesis...
When Peter Gabriel brought out his first solo album, Genesis already made Wind And Wuthering and were recording ...And Then There Were Three...

And Phil Collin's pop music is much better too...
;)

NP  Genesis:  The Lamb ...

Man, I didnt think anythin could keep me on the hook like Ten did for a while, but this monster simply gets better and better.

How could I miss out on this album for so many years?

Prog is really elusive  :o

Paco, dya think "The Lamb" has references to the Bible?  ???

Hehehe, I don't know...
I know that the lyrics on this album are quite psychedelic. Very strange too.
You know what? I'm going to dig a bit in the lyrics soon. My version of the booklet has an introducing part written by Peter Gabriel in which he explains a bit further. Although somehow I don't think it helps that much! :D

Today I was listening to Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura again.

The last song of the album has just left my speakers.
It's always a very enjoyable ride!

Now I'm planning on playing Arena's The Cry.
And after that I'm going to bed.

NP  Ten:  Twilight

They've become my favorite group!

Gary Hughes' singing and all the great melody combined with the beat and drive just do it for me, and Chris Francis' frenzied guitar also fits my temperament.

The lyrics are some of the most visionary I'v encountered. They're not about stuff, but they sure send the mind souring into worlds of great imagination  :)

Strange, huh? And you guys - not to mention the world - hardly know them.

The weak link is the drumming. They use a session drummer on Twilight. It's excellent, but imagine what Mike Portnoy could add .... Hope they soon find a great drummer too. Then they'll be unstoppable  :)

I'm not sure I'm going to bed right after I listened to The Cry. Just that I'm going to bed after listening to The Cry.

I do like the samples I heard, but aren't there any more samples??

Paco, I use the American style, which is: Simplification!

But OK, I'm not interested in changing Mike Portnoy's name - corrected that  :)

Paco, what you're saying is what we in Denmark call "fly f*in" ;D

Just get Twilight!

You are, just like me, and Gary Hughes, a hopeless romantic!

And enjoy - not just tens, but hundreds of times  *horns*

But OK, just found some good samples at  http://www.tenofthebest.com/ , i.a. one of my fave song, Rome.

But at least: Crank up the volume fGs!
