Lucky you... I think you're familiar with the "schlagers" style?
Oh, that kind of stuff... yes, unfortunately!  ;)

That's the new one, isn't it?
Can you tell us something about it?

bluepony

No, that is a very old one - I used to listen to it at school, and I finished school 13 years ago... I've got the new one too (don't remember the title right now, something like "Princess Alice and the broken arrow" or so), but I didn't really have the time yet to get into it (only listened to it once or twice since it's at home and not in the car). However, even though there are 20 years between those two albums, they are both typically Magnum. (Whatever that means.)

NP Enchant - Sinking Sand

A very good song with a splendid piano/bass outro  *horns*

What do the other roomers think of Enchant ?

Thanks and merci for reminding, guys.

Queensrÿche (umlaut for Mäd) and Enchant are two groups that I have to listen more to. I have several of their CD's, and I'v played them a few times, but now I'v realised that you have to spin a CD at least ten times to really know it, and even then .....

What I like about the Room is that people are real serious about their music. We have different tastes, but we respect the others', and even get good tips and inspiration from each other.

A propos, Bupie, if you like Enchant, you should try out the great album Thought Chamber's Angular Perceptions. Got Ted together with Michael Harris, and Rob and Derek from Haji's Kitchen (another great group). Some of Ted's best singing  *horns*

So, rock on / pierre avant  *horns*

Why Princess Alice?
I mean, we're talking Alice in Wonderland, right?

I confess that I've only read the first book and not the second (that being Through The Looking Glass).

The front cover of Magnum's new album strongly reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Now playing on my keyboard (a guitar sound).
And in the train I listened to some of The Flower Kings (Sum Of No Evil) but got really bored and put Riverside on. Which was better.

The front cover of Magnum's new album strongly reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

From The Third Testament (Appy ;D ) : "Tony [Clarkin] had got this idea of Princess Alice in his head; the name came from the Princess Alice orphanage in Birmingham... although the Alice on the cover, our Princess Alice if you like, is a fictitious character. And it just seemed right to ask Rodney [Matthews] if he would be interested in doing a painting for the front cover instead of using computer graphics which we have used a lot in the recent past. Tony wanted the sly fox in the artwork and Princess Alice breaking the arrow over her head and this was something that had to be done by an artist... so the only man for the job was Rodney Matthews. We went down to his house in Wales and Tony sat down with him and went through his ideas for the cover and Rodney came back to us with this wonderful pencil drawing which knocked us over; it was brilliant in black and white so we knew it would look amazing in colour. Of course with Rodney he was a known quantity for us from Storyteller's Night and those other great covers and so he was the obvious choice. It reminds me a lot of Storyteller's Night and it shouts Magnum at you; I don't think anybody else would have a cover like that really." — Bob Catley, 2007

Yeah, FK (nothing in-between, Bluey) and Kaipa rather bore me too, must say  :(

Strange enough I REALLY do like Kaipa (check my listenings profile :D). And people say that Kaipa and The Flower Kings are much the same, but I hear MANY differences.
Oh and I LOVE(!!) Roine's voice and guitar playing, but well... not The Flower Kings... :-\

I thought the first disc was finished, I was about to pop in the second disc, but suddenly a hidden track scared the living shit out of me.

Sounds brilliant though.

That has also one of the great moments in music.
I think this song has has very beautiful "sad emotion"-melodies in it.

Now listening to:

A.C.T - Last Epic

Ted's Ballad

Everytime I listen to A.C.T I remember how good it is.

I think Enchant is an underrated band over here in Europe.  8)
You should listen to their latest, Live At Last (yep indeed, a live album  :P).
It truly is an anthology of their best work.  *horns*
