yes! will go to Pratteln probably, because they have superior sound engineers there and they stay below 100dBA ;)

I hope I will be able to attend the gig in Paris. That will depend on my timetable for my second year in university, which I will have at the very last moment as usual.  :-\
Let your conscience decide !

wwetzels

I will attend Verviers and maybe also Zoetermeer :-)

Im going. Had my ticket and hotel for months now. Cant wait. Last year was really great!

Crazy Diamond

Yes, last year was very good, on balance I would say it is the best performance I have seen by them - Also, Leamington Assembly is a great venue and luckily for me, less than an hours drive away.  :)

First band (John Young Band) on at 6.20pm at Leamington tomorrow, apparently due to the last minute addition of another support band - sounds like we should be getting our money's worth  :)

Hi guys - looking forward to the gig tonight!!
Does anyone know what time Arena will hit go on stage as were driving down through the M6/M42/M40 during Friday rush hour so the yourney may take some time!!

bellanova

Between 8.30 and 9pm I would think although John Young is well worth seeing if you can.

Well the gig last night was awesome. The band were on good form as usual and anyone going to one of their gigs is in for a treat. I dont want to spoil the setlist for anyone but it does include the majority of the new album and some classic favourites. Love Clives new revolving keyboard. I had a blast. Lost my voice from singing all the way through. I dont know how Paul manages it.
The John Young Band was also good too and brought back many memories of a few years ago.
I hope Arena come back to the UK soon. I travelled to Leamington from London but it was well worth it.

Totally agree ! Arena never cease to amaze me, no matter how many times I see them live, they always seem to get better !

Trying to find a lift to the Z7 gig on Friday.... definitely would like to be there...!

I visited the concert in Verviers last Sunday and it was great. I've seen Arena for quite some times now and it is always a treat.
Great concert in Verviers. Concert duration is always too short with regard to Arena. They played for almost 2 hours.

Time flies when you are having fun.

Attended the final gig of the tour in Holland yesterday and had a marvellous time. The band had the end of tour vibe, fed by the traditionally very enthusiastic response of the Dutch audience, combined with a cleverly paced set list, a recipe for a great night. As Paul Manzi put it after the applause after the first track: "Now we're home!". It was not sold out, but the turn up was solid enough and both audience and band were determined to have a party. Simply put one of the best Arena gigs I've been to!

After a fitting piece of classical/cinematic intro music (not Rossini this time, but the overture of the musical "Sweeney Todd", Clive revealed afterwards) the band played almost all of Seventh Degree (alas, no Catching The Bullet and also Trebuchet was left out) and then a good mixture of their back catalogue, with the emphasis on Immortal? and Contagion. Of the new material Burning Down, Great Escape, The Ghost Walks, What If? and last but definitely not least Tinder Box have become big personal favourites of mine. During the soundcheck it was decided to close with Ascension and not The Visitor, but in the end the raving audience got both. *horns* Clive's new 360 degrees rotating keyboard was a nice touch by the way, especially in Riding The Tide.

After the last encore Clive praised both the enduring entity that is Arena as well as the support of the audience who stuck with them through all those years and line up changes, with people leaving and in one case "coming back again" ;) Clive also stated that he and Mick have a saying "remember this moment, you never know when there's going to be another one" and that this was definitely one of those moments. Agreed! Looking forward to next time, guys!
