I'm looking for nice bits of piano to play.
I'm learning a few bits by Neal Morse/Spock's Beard. I find these very nice and rewarding, although they're pretty hard too.
The piano intro to Seeds Of Gold (Neal Morse).
The piano intro to The Doorway (Spock's Beard).
The piano interlude in Love Beyond Words (Spock's Beard).
Ted's Ballad (A.C.T).
The intro to The Great Gig In The Sky (Pink Floyd).
Does anyone know other nice piano bits to play?
Oh yes, choose anything from George Winston's seasonal albums (Autumn, Winter into Spring, December).
The intro to "Great Gig in the Sky" is nice to play.
I've added Ted's Ballad of A.C.T to the list of nice piano bits to play.
It sounds very simple, but when you start playing it, you find it's harder than you think.
By the way, Peter, I've listened to bits of the albums you mentioned, but while it's pretty nice to listen to, it's not of much interest to me. Because I want to play more familiar Prog piano pieces.
The Great Gig In The Sky is also a good addition. Although it's a bit on the slow side.
What about Space Dye Vest (DT)?
The intro to Rick Wakeman's "Anne Boleyn" is also very nice to play. I have been known to play that intro for my sound check before...
