Enjoy. I'm hoping they will add another UK date a bit closer to me, Riff's is over 200 miles away!

And welcome. :)

I'm new to this type of music, the bands that i have heard, i like.
So far i've heard...
Pendragon - Pure.
Shadowland - myspace songs.. (what's the best album to get?).
Credo - Field of vision.

What would be a good introduction to Arena?

Contagion was my start so that or Imortal? or Peppers Ghost.
For Shadowland all the albums are good but for me Ring of Roses is the best.
What is your opinion of your Pendragon and Credo albums?

I really love the Pendragon album, not what i expected. I'm currently listening the Credo one, I like (Too late to say goodbye).

Someone told me The Visitor was a good starter album?

Contagion is the one, I'd say, Squeeky. That's Arena's grand masterpiece, in concept, lyrics, music and performance, above everything else named in this thread.

Else Caamora She, Arena's Pepper's Ghost, The Visitor, and "Immortal ?" are great too, in that order imo.

I havent yet heard Credo properly, but I have the impression that they're up there too.

Welcome to Arena World - a great place to be  *horns*

Nicky.

If your listening to Too late to say Goodbye then you have Rhetoric and not Field Of Vision. As for which Arena album to start with they are all superb so quite honestly I don't see that it matters that much where you start. :)
That Pure is fantastic, heavy as hell one minute, the most beautiful thing you've ever heard the next. I'm loving it too!

I started with The Visitor.  I think it was a great starting album.  In fact, I got into Arena after listening to "A Crack In The Ice"! :)

For Arena The Visitor and Contagion are great starter albums.
They are a both excellent albums, but some like The Visitor more, while others prefer Contagion.
It's totally up to you.
I'd say get both! ;D

For Shadowland, I can recommend the first album Ring Of Roses, and then the second and then the third.
But the albums are probably out of stock.... :(

It's not that mad...  quite sane, actually... :)

Well... as to Shadowland, I think you'll be very lucky to get one of their original albums... best try to get "A Matter of Perspective", that's the "new" one (a best of).
My personal Arena favourite is always the latest one, so it would be "Pepper's Ghost" - at least until a new one will be released... ;)
And "Pure" is a good choice, too! *horns*

I think 'Through the Looking Glass' is a fantastic Shadowland album.
I recommend you get that one! :)
