That's a nice list you've got there.

I'll join you with Storm Corrosion and I'll add...

Arjen A. Lucassen ~ Lost in the New Real (2012)
Suspyre ~ S/T (2012)
Dreamscape ~ Everlight
Anathema ~ Weather Systems

See ya!

Yeah I got Arjen Lucassen too, as well as the Anathema album.
Both excellent additions to my ever growing collection!

Can you tell me about Suspyre and Dreamscape?

I haven't really listened to Dreamscape yet but the long awaited Suspyre album is sort of a let down at first listen.
Heard it two times now but it sounds a bit... standard.

And that comes from a Suspyre fan. ;)

Got Jeff Loomis' Plains Of Oblivion - yoohoo  *horns*

Let's see if it's just as good as the awesome ZOP .....  :)

Only sad thing is that I seem to be the only real Loomis fan in the Room  :'(

I just ordered DeeExpus' King Of Number 33 only based on Roomies rave comments (!) and the brand new Paul Menel Band's album Into Insignificance I Will Pale that I was eagerly waiting for. This last one only to be found on themerchdesk.com. Teunis if you read me  ;)

Yep, never got a reply from him, glad you found it at last ;).

On topic: release of the Pendragon live DVD delayed till September :(. In the same month the new Muse album will be released. Very much looking forward to that one  8).

I recently purchased:

Pendragon - "Passion"
I think I just can't ignore this one. It got rave reviews and everyone here is recommending this wholeheartedly. Before this one, I only got "Masquerade Overture" which is a real masterpiece If you'd ask me.

Vangelis - "Antarctica"
I love Vangelis' music. And especially his style in this particular era (Blade Runner, Chariots Of Fire (1980s)).

Opeth - "Damnation"
Ok... I've been listening to this one longer than I am entitled to... Finally actually bought the thing. Unlike the title and artwork suggests, this is not a metal album at all. I like it very much. Well, I guess, more Opeth to add soon...

Sigur Rós - "Takk..."
It was a real bargain and it has one very sweet song on it. I couldn't resist.

Also bought some games (bargains too):
- Hitman collection
- Splinter Cell: Conviction
- Call Of Duty 2

Yeah, I like it a lot too  *horns*

It's actually the album that got me enthusiastic about Pendragon (with a little prodding by Teunis)  8)

Opeth - "Damnation"

Cool album, but it doesnt have much of my fave Opeth stuff. My fave albums are Ghost Reveries and Watershed  *horns*

Hold on, I'm getting there...

Rush ~ Clockwork Angels

A mixed album, actually.
It has lots of elements that reminds me of the old days but also songs that wouldn't look bad upon the last four albums.
I like the album, but there is somehow a bit too much diversity.

Hey, I just ordered it yesterday  :) I wasn't planning to do so but I read a review where the reviewer claimed that his favorite Rush album is Hold Your Fire and that Clockwork ... reminds him strongly of HYF. So I bought it. But many reviewers seem to find it very heavy, what HYF was not. So I guess that you might be right, I expect diversity.

Tangeine Dream - The Virgin Years 3 's with 5 Albums for £6.

Just Arrived: Discipline. - Push and Profit

DeeExpus - King of Number 33. I was impressed after hearing it on progstreaming.com. Really love the keyboards, played by Mark Kelly 8). And I wanted to buy the new Asia album XXX, but it wasn't in stock.

A late birthday present arrived recently

Devin Townsend - Live in London (5CDs 4 DVDs)

It will take me a while to get through that is for sure.

While on vacation I 'stumbled' upon an Anathema cd called "We're Here Because We're Here". I immediately bought it. Now I have WHBWH, Falling Deeper and Weather Systems. And I love all three albums. What a special band! Where to next?

That is not exactly what you could call easy listening music  :)

True, and that is a large part of why it is worth listening to.   8)

Obviously I need to get more into the wild DT. Till now I'm not too crazy about Ocean Machine, but let's see .....

In a similar vein, the latest cd I got was ICS Vortex's Storm Seeker. For the ignorant  :P , Vortex (civil name Simen Hestnæs) has done some groundbreaking singing in Arcturus, Dimmu Borgir, and Borknagar. (Mad, I presume you know him well.). Storm Seeker is ... well, rather special .....  ;)

Next purchase will be Rush's Clockwork Angels  *horns*  and then I'l backlog with this great band  8)
