Sad, and somewhat sick myself, as Pusle is very sick. She got a cyst on her side some three months ago. It stopped growing, but then started pussing instead. Even so, Pusle still was quite active, and she slept on the cushion next to me in bed at night. Then she ate less and less, and the last five days she hasnt eaten anything. I take the water bowl to her every hour or so and she drinks a bit. But I guess I have to accept now that it's soon over 

I anyway plan to go to the Opeth concert in Malmö tonight, as there's not much else I can do for Pusle, and Claus and I have been looking real forward to it.

You have my sympathy, I've been there far too often.

A week ago we were at the vet with one of our cats who hadn't eaten for a week and feared the worst.  Fortunately it was nothing serious, just a nasal infection needing an injection and a course of tablets.  The little man was stuffing his face at the food dish within a couple of hours and both of us were crying tears of relief as we watched.

Off again tomorrow morning with one of the dogs who seems to be having epileptic fits - pretty upsetting to watch.  I think I'm getting too old for this sort of heartache

Hearing about your cat makes me think back to last summer when we had to put our cat Mozart to sleep.

So Pusle's gone for good 

She died last night. This mo(u)rning at 8 I got up and went to check up on her. Her breathing had stopped and she was cold. She had stretched out her body and paws like a kitten 

I had to borrow some extra kleenex from my neighbor 

This afternoon I put her lying on her princess-cushion into the transport box and delivered her to our nice local vet 

Guess I'l have to change my icon if I'm to survive  .....
