It's a boy. ;D
His name is Christian Alexander and his
calling name Nickname (roepnaam) will be Chris.
He was born at the Hospital in Utrecht this afternoon at 15:05, weighs 4320 gr. and the length is...still a mystery to us too though he's very tall. I personally think it'll be 54 cm or something like that. Tomorrow we will find out.
Quite a big fellow. ;D
He has to be in the incubator for the comming 24 hours because the doc's wants to keep an eye on his blood sugar. There's a little chance he will be diabetic for the rest of his life so they keep a close look on that.
It was a caesarian section and both mother and child are doing fine. 8)
More pix will follow but for now i'll get myself a beer. ;D (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/lexaco/nanadrinkkris.gif)
Skål *ola* ;)
He, great news! I'm really happy for you and your family that a healthy boy is born *horns*. Good to read that your wife is fine too. Were you present at the caesarian section? Both my children were born with the caesarian section, I know what you and your wife were going through!
Congratulations!

Thanks, Teunis. :)
Yes i was present though behind a big blue towel. One of the nurses took pic's of the procedure but i didn't dared to look over it. :-[ ;D
My daughter was born with a caesarian section too and although we (read: ms. Mad) really wanted it the old fashion way, we're both really happy about it. :D
Hey, congrats, Mad ! Great news !
Wish you guys all well !
He really looks like you (although I'v never seen you, but that's maybe good) ;D
His weight is above average for all babies, so that's real good.
Let's hope that his blood sugar falls into place !
This may come as a surprise to many, but tonight I'm actually enjoying a red wine :) a Condesa de Leganza 2003, and it's so good that I'm not going to replace it with beer. Hm, a bit emasculating ... but I guess I'l just have to put up with you guys' derision ;D
But the main person tonight is Chris, so congrats and good luck *horns*
Btw, "roepnaam" would be "nickname".
Skål !
Nicky.

We were hoping that he wouldn't arrive at Christmas or at New Years Eve/day and we got lucky. :D

The same here too. My daughter was sort of an emergency and this one was planned. We already knew it for two weeks now and i can tell you, it's been rather hard to keep my lips sealed. :-\ ;D
Well, so two good news :
First, a BIG (4230 grams ::)) healthy baby for the Mad
Secund, Nicky finally admits that wine is good
Congratulations to both of you ;D
Woohooo *ola*
YAY!! Congratulations my Mad Dox!
I see you got the little man named after you? ;) At least for a bit.
Great news on the doorstep of 2008!
What else could you possibly want?
And what a big boy it is! Look at his arms! Little Mad-muscle-dox! ;D

On nicky's defence, i seem to remember he said that once before so i wasn't so shocked.
If he mentioned a Breezer i would be shocked but now i'm not. :D

Yep, we liked it this way. Actually my first name is Alexander too but i found it too old fashioned to give him that first name. :)
( en het 'bekt' so lekker'. ;D)QuoteWhat else could you possibly want?
A rather substantial amount of money in the lottery would suffice. ;D

Yeah, that's not likely. I dont like the sweet stuff any longer.
Yesterday Ms 007 and I went to see the Christmas exhibition at Tivoli in Cop, and we had a surprisingly excellent veg dinner at the Japanese restaurant there. I had an Asahi dry beer along with it; it was super too.
Nicky.

Well, if you say so.
Actually, I "hate" fireworks. I like the beauty of the colours, but the bangs...
I remember when my little brother was two or something, he cried all the time...
But the little Chris of yours is a real man then. ;D

Kids that age have only one habbit: Sleeping. :D
Congratulations, Maddox! :)

Nice way to start the new year...
Try to control your lust and desires a bit. ;)
And don't tempt others to think with double meanings.
I really hate it when I have to search all my words to be sure that noone will interpret it with double meanings.
I'm sorry if I perhaps sound a bit rude, but this happens so often to me, also in real life. You can't even talk with people anymore, they're always searching behind my words hoping to find a joke in there, trying to be funny, but failing miserably (to me at least).
No hard feelings, but just felt I needed to say that. :)
Besides, this topic is about Maddox's newly born son. Not about women. ;)

Well, Paco, if you want (small) babies, ye kinda need women ..... ;)
Nicky.
Ok, I just KNEW I had to leave that last sentence out of it.
Stupid me.
