As you probably read it on the 'now playing' thread, you can listen to Dream Theater's Score in streaming music.

Just click here and you'll get an impression of the new CD/DVD.

I'm listening now! :)

In this version of The Root Of All Evil Jordan Rudess' keyboard comes out much better than on the one on the studio-album.
In fact, I don't know wether the original has those keyboards in it or not...
Sounds great anyway! The DVD must be amazing I can imagine!

Since YouTube is very popular on the Frost-board, I keep looking back for some more funny stuff!
And Dream Theater has quite a lot!
Check these!

Misheard Lyrics:
Hilarious in some places, but also filty language. It's Raiden on the streets of New York City... (Metal Gear Solid anyone?)

PS: LaBrie sounds awfully terrible here...

Yeah here in Holland it isn't out yet. Yesterday I asked it in a few recordshops here in Rotterdam, and the answer was in almost every store that they expect it to arrive on friday or saturday.

So I have to be patient for a couple more days........aaaarrghhhh  ;)

Or just wait until they sell it as an advertisement, much cheaper
Walk along the Waterfall, watching as the world turns red
Wonder where the river flows, and the blood on the River bed
Poison lies to close to us, Reach across the salt and Sand
Moving Deeper into the Land

I'm not very impressed by the first cd, but the second (6 degrees with orchestra) sounds reeeeeaaaally good! haven't listened to the third disc yet, but I will do that now. Octavarium ánd Metropolis with orchestra :o

I was only joking, I think I already bought too much cd's, but it's always nice too discover new groups, I havent' been to the cd shop for a whilemaybe the new album score will be a reason, if it is as good as Train of Thought and Octavarium and the rest I will be buying it I think.

Appelmoes??

It's a Three cd live album. 1 cd with just the band, 1 cd with the orchestra and the band playing 6 degrees and 1 cd with the orchestra playing Octavarium and Metropolis.

So in fact no new album

Appelmoes??

If you don't count live-albums as albums, yes. But there are two new songs on this live album.

But there are two new songs on this live album.

Really? And are they good?

And this Live DVD is it with exactly the same tracks as the three disc CD album? Also with an orchestra etc?

Second question, can you buy this in some sort of deluxe edition with both the DVD and the CDs in one?

That Six Degrees  live is just awesome, and really liking the 3rd disc with some of the more laid back tunes on it, then BAMMMM it hits you right between the eyes about a third of the way through Sacrificed Sons and on to Octavarium. Excellent stuff!

*edit* second disc, thats what i ment, my head hurts.....

Well, to be honoust, they're not quite new. "Another Won"  is from the Majesty-period, which was DT's first original name and "Afterlife" is a track from the "When Day And Dream Unite album".

QuoteAnd this Live DVD is it with exactly the same tracks as the three disc CD album? Also with an orchestra etc?

Yes, the CD is with the same tracklisting as the DVD but with out the extra's off course.  ;)

QuoteSecond question, can you buy this in some sort of deluxe edition with both the DVD and the CDs in one?

Not to my knowledge. Unfortunately that's a thing DT doesn't do very often.  :-\

Hmm ok thanks Madoc, I mean Maddox. ::)

I'm gonna buy it anyway. I saw "Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York DVD" in a shop for 8,99 euros.
Is it any good?

I need to make a wishlist once again...

I tend to agree with you on that part. Besides The Root Of All Evil the fireworks really begin for me with Under A Glass Moon. Raise The Knife is excellent too as well is The Spirit Carries On but other than that this is not the way to celibrate your twentieth birthday as a band. The other tracks are nice to hear, well except I Walk Beside you that is, but i rather hear those tracks as a bonus instead as a part of the whole show. James' voice is great and so are the other guys and the DVD is better than Live In Budokan for instance but i can't surpress the feeling "what if they did some other songs?"

Indeed, from CD two on, the show really begins.  *horns*
