Odd that there isn’t a Song Title Game thread on this board. I’ve enjoyed such things in several other places, as I’m sure other Roomies have, so where’s ours?
Rules are simple:
- You merely follow on with a song or piece of music and the artist, where the title includes a word (any word) from the previous title. Note that it’s the TITLE we’re playing with, not the artist.
- You don’t have to be too pedantic about exact spellings or plurals, and the music doesn’t have to be prog, although obviously you’ll sleep more easily at night if it is!
- If things get stuck, it’s permissible to use part of a word to stop the game grinding to a halt, but only in extreme circumstances.
- No tedious debating of the rules!
As well as being a bit of harmless fun, I’ve found these games to be useful in the “Cor! I’ve not played that for ages – must dig it out!” sense, something that this board excels at anyway.
So, as an example and to start the ball rolling, I’ll kick off with:
‘Diamonds, Diamonds’ –
Max Webster.
Which I could then follow up with the rather obvious:
‘Shine on you Crazy Diamond’ –
Pink Floyd.
So, somebody needs to follow on from ‘Shine on you Crazy Diamond’ – over to you…
