Well, it's July. Did I miss something?

I took the trouble and made a complete album out of it, as an mp3 cd, and I planned to make an audio DVD, but yes: Where is it? ;D

Well, I did find this on the cage.org site:

Contagion - The Max
Clive has to do some last polishing on the mix of the fifth Cage CD and David Wyatt is working on the artwork - the final result will be worth the wait! As soon as the album is shipped we'll announce it here on the site.

So they've missed the June 2005 date, but it's still coming. That's fine. I can wait.

Sorry we're stretching your patience so... We hope to wrap it up and send it out soon, but Clive's rather busy at the moment, so can't say anything definite. It will be worth the wait! Meanwhile, still got Pepper's Ghost to enjoy  ;)

What's the status atm on Contagion Max?

The irony is that Erik phoned me earlier today to say 'Contagion The Max' will be released begin March! :o
Of course we can wait that little bit.
Erik also said there were some things added because of it being so late.
- The songs that were left out and were on the -um and -ous EP's (as we already knew)
- Some extra songs (including an instrumental version of Spectre At The Feast and Ascension)
- An interview with David Wyatt and Clive Nolan

Unfortunately no Ascension-guitarsolo and no extra remixes... :(

But I think this CD is still worth the money!!!

Buy absolutely everything, in duplicate or triplicate, sell whatever you own that is not Arena related, spend the money on their live shows and their merchandise, buy the guys food and drink, take whatever you have left, and give it to them!

Sound advice, anyone?? ;D

About Contagion, I would like to know something : what's the difference between the "Digipack" and the normal edition ?  ???

However, because we have not quite received the required numbers to make ends meet, it is vital that you pre-order the album in advance, to fund the production of the album. Many of you have already indicated you are willing to do so, but we have to ask you to confirm this with an unequivocal 'YES' before we can proceed.

What do you get: the two disc version of Contagion, with the EP-tracks inserted in the correct places in the concept, in a special digipack with full artwork and 28 page booklet, that includes all the lyrics. Furthermore, pre-orders get their copy signed by the original Contagion band members Clive Nolan, Mick Pointer and John Mitchell! The price for this special package will be £20 plus postage. The plan is to put it out before this Christmas. There have been suggestions for a 5.1 mix and vinyl version as well, but given the overall response these will not be part of this package.

What do we ask: first, to simply reply 'YES' to this email before September 25th if you are indeed willing to pre-order the album through Verglas. Next step is the actual pre-order, we will send more information about that if step 1 has gone well.

I haven't seen anything on Facebook yet.

And what about an indiegogo crowdfunding campaign? It seems to work for Marillion, Spock's Beard and Stream Of Passion (a few bands I know who have tried this).

I haven't received the newsletter yet, but as I said before, I would pre-order the album instantly. :)

Crowdfunding would be an idea, the only thing is you should reach as many people as possible.
Given the amount of fans of Arena/Nolan on Facebook, I'd say that it's a good possibility.

Erik, I undertook the pre-order procedure, but couldn't complete it, as I have a master card (being a pauper), and ran into:

I tried getting thru this once (with Copenhell), but had give it up after getting blocked several times, probably due to lack of some technology (ended up buying the f*ing ticket at a store), so I hope that I can wait with paying till Contagion Max gets onto Amazon.co.uk, where I can easily order and pay stuff.

I've checked with Arena HQ, all pre-orders have been shipped now, but some shipping notifications seem to have bounced. The album may take a while to arrive when you live outside the UK, please allow up to two weeks. If you still haven't received it then please contact Verglas to sort it out!

OMG! I got mine yesterday and listened to it last night. It blew me away. It is absolutely fantastic! I read the story and it made me cry and listening to "On The Edge Of Despair" had me in floods of tears too. Well worth the wait.

Well what can I say ! Having cobled together my own version of The Max as soon as the second EP I have waited 10 years for an official version and had just about given up hope. And now at last it is here !
I have listened to it several times now and it is definately well worth the wait!
It was already my favourite album ever and this has only reinforced that feeling.
Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen and especially to the band for making the album in the first place.
I am one very happy chappy :>)

And your words on the digipack are perfectly right : Contagion Max doesn't replace Contagion, it complements it. With the help of liner notes/storyboard for each song, it makes you apprehend the whole story from a different and fresh perspective.

Finally had the time to listen to the whole album.  *horns* Love it, a great experience. Confrontation has a very good place on the album as the moment where the tide turns, which I really appreciate; I found it to be somewhat underrated before, and now it's become the turning point. Thanks for making this record happen!

I've gotta say that although Clive and Mick had no intention in doing this in the first place, a great job was done in persuading them.
