Duh ;) That's like a Tolkien-fan that doesn't know what LotR means ;D
NP -> Ayreon - Universal Migrator I & II
Royal Hunt - The Mission.
Jadis - More Than Meets The Eye (remastered)....
So far, so much better...but still not enough bass-end for my taste...and not as bass-weighty as their live shows...
But a major improvement at the end of the day. ??? ??? ??? ???
Jadis - More Than Meets the Eye (2CD remaster) (with due regard to Gelert's comments)
So what do you reckon, Loopy...
Am I "out of my gourd", or is it an accurate critisism...?
Is it good? I mean ProgAid single.
Pendragon - The Window Of Life. "Must have" for every prog-lover.
Porcupine Tree - Deadwing 8)Is it good? Hope, this one is a little better than In Absentia.
Is it good? Hope, this one is a little better than In Absentia.

Marillion - Misplaced Childhood
Hope you're listening it whilst huddled in the safety of your pseudo silk kimono...... ;)
(that's probably gone way over your head unless you happened to be following the opening lyrics ::) )
Better get back to work 8)
Marillion - Misplaced ChildhoodLong time ago it was the first CD I've ever bought.
Long time ago it was the first CD I've ever bought.
Hehe, youngster :) For me, it was one of the first LPs I ever bought.LP's? Man, you're ancient!! :P ;)
OK, for some of you I am also a youngster, but hey.... :)
Hehe, youngster :) For me, it was one of the first LPs I ever bought.I sais CD, not LP.
OK, for some of you I am also a youngster, but hey.... :)
What's an "LP"...?...is that like some kind of old video-disc or something...? ;D "LP" means Longplay(a kind of vinyl disc). Didn't you know?
Well, I've just "put-to-bed" Flash And The Pan - "The Best Of", after it was a recommendation from a mate on another forum (an F1 Forum, before you panic, Peter...!)...not bad, and amazing how many tracks I knew without realising that it was them...!
And now I'm trying Athlete - "Tourist"...so-far-so-good...!
np>> Star One - [Space Metal (CD1) #10] Starchild [9:05]Personally I don't like the majority of "Space Metal" material, except for two final tracks. ;)
Personally I don't like the majority of "Space Metal" material, except for two final tracks. ;)Good thing this topic isn't for Star One discussions then ;)
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell
First time I'm hearing the entire album.
It's kinda.....quiet....like it though.
Pendragon - The window of life - tr 3 Breaking the spell (one word: awesome!)
TEN(1996). I think, their best still.
Camel - Stationary Traveller (Remastered)...can't wait to find out how the extended mix of Pressure Points differs from the original...and the running order of the remaster is different from the original, plus a new track is included vis In The Arms Of Waltzing Frauleins...
Ok - quick update...Pressure Points is now a whopping 6'14", versus the original of 2'10"....is it better, I hear you ask...
No, IMHO...the original is a short but relevant album-opener.
The new version is rambling, and irrelevant...especially as it's now the last track on the album ???
And the new track In The Arms Of Waltzing Frauleins isn't anything special IMHO
But the overall sound-quality is massively improved...especially the snare...!
Only got this last week (Camel - Stationary traveller) - agree, sound quality is MUCH improved ;D
Currently Prog-Dancing to Ayreon - Universal Migrator...Part I or II?
BTW, Tesco's delivered on time... ;)
Royal Hunt - Fear...
Hope, you like this one too. ;)
What do you reckon to the "newie", and extended Pressure Points, Loopy...?

Suppose, you've just forgotten about my previous information. :( "The Watchers" is another Royal Hunt's cd (featuring John West). A compilation of some remastered and live versions.Sorry Voyager...MY "bad"... But let me get to know the first two CDs that I've bought, and then I'll probably be back for more.... 8)

Britney Spears - "Oops, I did it again!":o
Pendragon - The Window of Life
Genesis - "Talisman" (J.S.Bach & Co.)
NP: Dream Vision by Magic Pie - brilliant band from Norway!!!
Nightwish - "Over The Hills And Far Away"(compilation-cd). ;)The semi-live album, yeay!!
The Watch - "Vacuum"(a-la old Genesis).
Camel - Rajaz
Camel - Rajaz
IQ - "The Wake"
Peter Nicholls couldn't sing on this one, either.
Quite brilliant album, by far the best of the latter years output (although they haven't really done a bad album IMHO)
;D
Arena - "Songs From The Lion's Cage".
I have ordered this one. Have read so many positive reactions on this one, very curious!
Suppose, you won't be disappoited by this choice. :D
IQ - "The Wake"
Peter Nicholls couldn't sing on this one, either.
... Ever and Subterranea are very good stuff. I think the two last are right behind.
Knight Area - The Sun Also Rises (Dutch symfo, cool!)
Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair (the remastered version with all the wierd extra tracks on)
Be interesting to hear what their proposed new material will sound like.
IQ - "The Seventh House" a fine album and Peter Nicholls' voice is somewhere between quirky and tolerable!
np>> Nightwish - [Once #01] Dark Chest Of Wonders [4:28]Try the Ecliptica album, that's my favourite by far.
Sonata din't get to me now...
What does (almost) everybody here fnd so good about Asia? I heard an album of then once and thought the music was imho quite boring. It al sounded too much the same or perhaps I didn't hear their best album?
I have all their studio albums. The first three albums (Asia, Alpha, Astra) with John Wetton on vocals are great IMO. The first album with John Payne on vocals (Aqua) is not so good, but 'Aria' rules! And I like 'Aura' and the last album 'Silent nation' too. This last album is 'back to the eigthies', heavier, but also proggy influences. The title track 'Silent nation' is my favourite. It was my second favourite band after Toto, but I have to admit that Arena has come between them ;).
To stay on topic: np: The Visitor
ELO - "Out Of The Blue". Classics.
"Silent Force" - Within Temptation
Keep meaning to buy something by these - what's their best one..??
John Wetton - Rock of Faith
John Wetton - Rock of Faith
Good effort. You can try to listen to "Battle Lines" and "Arkangel" too. Recommended.
That's always a matter of taste, but IMO 'Mother earth' is better, heavier and more versatile. The last one 'Silent Force' is more 'commercial', if you know what I mean. Beautiful songs, but much of the same.
Keep meaning to buy something by these - what's their best one..??
Cheers ;D
Now playing:That is the new Album of them, isn't it ???
Kayak - Nostradamus / The Fate of Man
I can't make up my mind between "Mother Earth" or "Silent Force" so i suugest you listen/buy both.
S
Ayreon - Dawn of a Million SoulsGreat choice. Must be my favorite song of Ayreon.
np>> Ambeon - [Fate of a Dreamer #09] Sweet Little Brother [8:03]I love that one, really good song!

I can only just remember the first time that I heard SftLC...and how gobsmacked I was....!
Enjoy.
From the dutch beer Grolsch commercial. Believe me, it's waaaay better than Heineken!
Threshold - Ground Control
Heh, I left my desktop at about 11:40 and paused my player in the middle of "Opium", so we were approximately listening to the same stuff :PGhehe, cool :)
Britney Spears - Oops I Did it Again!
That ain't prog either!
just bored and work and feeling silly. That's still no excuse to play Britney :P
Wetton & Downes - Icon
  Is it good?
I've been playing it quite a lot for the last week - very impressed with it, much better than some of Wetton's solo albums, not quite up to the early Asia, but as near as you'll get :)

Tangent - Pyramids & Stars (new live CD)Â ;D
Manning - Matter of Life & Death ;D
Asia - Arena
Suppose, you have your personal ASIA's day. ;)It were two seperate days, but I had an 'Asia' mood, that's right.
Kino - Picture
;D
More AOR than PROG, in my view. >:(
Octavarium from Dream Theater, I like this album more and more :)
ELO - "Confusion"
Oldie but goldie. ;)
ELO - "Confusion"
Nice.
Good Yamaha CS80 sound, too.
Teunis,
Is that your first exposure to IQ? If so, grab "Subterranea" and "The Seventh House." If you like Arena, I think you'll like those two as much if not more than "Dark Matter."Â "Ever" is pretty good, too. Stay away from the first one "Tales from the Lush Attic" unless you can get it really cheap. The second one is somewhat better but not all that good. Frankly, I'm surprised they had a contract after those first two albums. Thank goodness they stuck with it and turned into a really good band. There are a couple of others with a different singer. I'm not familiar with them, but I'm told they experimented with a more "pop" sound for a couple of albums.

I am grateful to IQ for carrying the prog torch during the 1980s. Heaven knows there weren't many other bands doing it.
Also Haze, Liaison, Twelfth Night, Quasar, and that other band...what's their name...oh yes, Silmarillion.
Wonder whatever happened to them...?
I'm just putting on Erik Norlander - Music Machine. A very enjoyable double album. :)
Good taste!
np: IQ - The Wrong Side of Weird (from the site below, I'm interested)
http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=621#mp3
Curiously, the intro sounds exactly like that of Led Zeppelin's "Rain Song" which by a staggering co-incidence is from "Houses of the Holy", the album I was playing in the post above yours :oIn The Netherlands they say 'co-incidence doesn't exist'. That means: It was meant to be ;D.
John Cage's "4'31"...
I preferred The Planets cover of it (and they recorded it digitally, Cage's was only analogue)Â ;)Â :D
NP-> John Wetton - Battlelines.
I bought it, alongside Icon, on a Nick Shilton recommendation in Classic Rock Magazine...one of his better pieces of advice, and well-worth it.
Anyone got any other Wetton-recommendations...?
Ah yes...THAT version.
Have you played it backwards, and heard the subliminal message yet...?
Ah...no...must try that, though I guess I'll need the headphones to filter out any background noise. :)
Meanwhile, I'm still looking for the elusive extended remix version ;)
I find "Rock of Faith" a good album.
QUEEN - "Innuendo"
from the album 'Innuendo'
This is better than "Bohemian Rapsody"!
It's a very strange point of view. ::)It's bound to be 'a very strange point of view'... It's mine! ;D
IluvatarThe Tolkien version of the Scandinavian Mythology one? :P
Arena - The Cry

;D You should try out both, their good :-*
Pendragon - Kowtow
It's a rare guest in my CD-player. :(It's far from my favorite as well, but the tracks '2 A.M.' and 'Kowtow' are certainly worth playing IMO.
Cryptic Vision - Moments Of Clarity....I can't remember who on this forum recommended it to me (Voyager?)...
It was me. ;) By the way, Cryptic Vision has to make another album in this year.
Camel - Rajaz
TFK - Unfold The Future

np>> Shadow Gallery - [Room V #02] Comfort Me [6:52]Yesterday I heard 30 seconds samples of this album on a website. I liked it, but I have more albums that I would like to buy: 'Believe' of Pendragon and 'The seventh house' of IQ for example. Have to save money first >:(.
Porcupine Tree - Arriving somewhere, but not here
A song from Progarchives.com. Not too impressed :-\.
Awwww, too bad. I find the whole album absolutely brilliant. Give it a few spins... :)Maybe you're right. Had to hear 'Contagion' more often and now it's my favorite album. I'll give it a few spins.
Heather Nova / Redbird / I Miss My Sky
Roxette
Now I have late 80's nostalgia!
Nothing wrong with Roxette - think I've got around 4 or 5 of their CDs ;DRoxette kick's derrière!
WHAT...!!!!!Got it from record store Plato here in The Hague.. The only store I've seen it in so far, they're usually pretty fast with getting new releases.
Where did you get that from..??? Didn't realise it was out yet - it's certainly not available anywhere here in the UK or in any mailorder places I normally use. :o
I'm green with jealousy here. HN is my all time favourite female vocalist - I need this album NOWÂ >:(Â ???
ABBA - The Visitors....

Still waiting for delivery of your other recommendation - "The Wurzels - Music To Ice-Skate To"...
harhar :)I was listening to Ayreon before I read those post's today ;) The minute I was ready with work I got my mp3-player out and put Ayreon on. I'm just in that "Ayreon mood" lately 8)

But hey, i could be wrong... ;D

np: samples of the new Pendragon album 'Believe'. Just one week till the release date. Already ordered this one of course, together with the album 'Wounded land' (2001 version) of Threshold!

Their new album(Gentry) has to be released in November 2005. Let's be patient. ;)
Does the Band have a Webpage by now? And if so, could you please post the link. :-* Because at the time when I got the CD there was nothing to find in the World Wide Web.
King Crimson - Red
At last! Me and Hoggie are mostly listening to Pendragon's Believe ... tis a wonderful album and so good to share with my beloved!Congratulations! I'm sure it was worth waiting for!

Still getting into it at the moment, loving "I Miss My Sky" though, great track 8)I Miss My Sky is definitely my favourite track on the album! :)
King Crimson - Red. Their one and only album I liked.Really?! ??? What about their stunning debut, the great 80s comeback album Discipline, their wonderful latest effort Power To Believe and I could do on and on... I'm passionate about this band ::)
Within Temptation - The Silent ForceGreat album! Although I prefer Mother Earth, more varied. Silent Force has the real choir and orchestra though, and I LOVE the track Jillian
Their one and only album I liked.
Great album! Although I prefer Mother Earth, more varied. Silent Force has the real choir and orchestra though, and I LOVE the track JillianAgreed. Silent Forse is much of the same, more 'commercial', Mother Earth is more versatile.Quote
It's great, "One More Red Nightmare" must contain some of the most sinister guitar ever commited to tape. A favourite of Kurt Cobain's of all people, apparently.Three Of A Perfect Pair is great, especially Sleepless!
And you're right about their 80s comeback erik, although my personal favourite out of that lot is their oft under-rated Three of a Perfect Pair.
Their new album(Gentry) has to be released in November 2005. Let's be patient. ;)I will try to be patient. I think it is great that they are coming out with new material!!! :)
Electric Light Orchestra - "Out Of The Blue". One of my all-time favourite albums.Hey, same here. Great album. One of the few albums I never play 'random', it's a story!
Styx - "Brave New World". I like it more than some of their earlier works.
I haven't heard that yet.
Currently listening to The Grand Illusion - Styx one of my all time favs.
Gotta be "Pieces of Eight" for me ;D Classic album ;D
Fanatic - Jadis
I wasn't to keen on it when I first heard it, but the more I play the better it gets.
Threshold - Wounded landYou should have heard the whole album by now. What do you think of it? (I personaly love Paradox)
It arrived today in my mailbox. The first track is playing, too short to give an opinion yet.
You should have heard the whole album by now. What do you think of it? (I personaly love Paradox)The last track is playing ('Intervention'). I have the 2001 version with an extra track, with the original album you were probably right ;). 'Paradox' is a killer song indeed, it was the only song I knew from the 'progarchive.com' website. Was impressed by 'Surface to air' as well, great song!
Threshold - Wounded land

Good taste ... but then I adore anything by Threshold! Enjoy!Good taste too! Played it yesterday, Animate is probably my alltime favourite Rush song. ;D
Meanwhile Xanxa is listening to Rush - Counterparts ... not played this in several months but still sounds as good as ever.
Good taste ... but then I adore anything by Threshold! Enjoy!I do enjoy it, thanks. Damian Wilson rules, great singer! His vocals do fit this kind of music better than on his solo career, to be honest. I have two solo albums: 'Cosmas' and 'Disciple'.

I've got the same version, I think I'll put it on after Dream Theater's Awake is finnished :)Okay, enjoy it! I just did.
Evening Games by Satellite.
A recommendation from DPRP. If you like any of IQ, Pendragon, Fish era Marillion or Arena you should find something on her that takes your fancy.
As I love all those bands, I did! ;D
Cheers,
Ian
We have Evening Games. Tis a wicked album. I think they've done another one and I'll try to get hold of that as well.
Meanwhile, Dream Theatre's Octavarium is blasting out the speakers. Last night at the Proglair we had Not of this world and the Jewel Remaster. Kind of going through a Pendragon phase at the moment ... no idea why! ???
Yeah they have done another album prior to Evening Games which is also apparently pretty good. It's called A street Bewteen Sunrise and Sunset.
If you go to their website at http://www.satelliteprog.com and then click on LINKS you can get to the shop and buy it. Just as I've just done! :)
Cheers,
Ian
Not bad. Though even "Understand" was better.
I've not heard some of the really early Jadis cd's yet but of the ones I have heard "Understand" is my favourite .

Lighthouse Family - High*cough* (http://www.thelighthousefamily.com/)
I don't know which album it's from. I found this somewhere on my pc.
Reminds me of the good ol' days.
I Remember I was shopping with my mom in a local supermarket when I heard this song first.
I didn't attend school yet back then, indeed the good ol' days.
np>> Stream of Passion - [Embrace the Storm #03] Deceiver [5:09]:D. Patience. Just three more weeks.
If only the rest of this album would be in my hands by now...!

.... I'll keep you informed.....
I know some reviewers, too, but none of them would lend me a hand with this album..... tsk tsk tsk.... or there aren't any press pre-releases at all... but then there are a few reviews out already.... gnarfmpfgrml....

YEEAAAHHHHH!!! One of most beautiful concept I've ever listened to....... Neal Morse is a real genius!!!

GENESIS - "Supper's Ready"

You should see me watching DVDs ;D
Let's have a closer look on the cd, eh...
It's:
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Even the tracks are listed on it! :o
8. Hang Down Your Head
Wicked stuff! I have most of Tom Waits' albums and they are brilliant. An acquired taste maybe but once acquired ... 8)
I would recommend Heartattack and Vine, Blue Valentines, Mule Variations, Bone Machine, Small Change ... but possibly not The Black Rider (very hard to listen to!)
BTW ... listening to Jethro Tull's Songs from the Wood at the moment
My dad is really into Jethro Tull.
And both my uncles like Tom Waits, I only heard 'Little Drop Of Poison'. But I don't like that raw voice.
Dream Theater - Train of Thought
Pink Floyd - DSOTM
Rush - Moving Pictures
;D
8)
Do you know www.rushradio.org (http://www.rushradio.org) ? 24 hours non-stop for the working man !
Hackett's Spectral Mournings (sic)....NP-> Geoff Downes and The New Dance Orchestra - The World Service....couldn't get any recommendations / reactions from anybody / any site, so i thought that I'd punt for it....well chill-out stuff, and ironically, IMHO, a better first-buy than the other disc that I bought, ergo "The Collection"...
...oh happy daze...  8)
BTW, anyone got any Glass Hammer or Geoff Downes' solo stuff recommendations...?
Today I got an email that the album 'The Seventh House' was shipped today. Can't wait till tomorrow ;).
Flower Kings - Fan Club CD 2005
;D
... how does it sounds? I'm not signed on the fan club but I really adore The Flower Kings.....
is it good stuff??
It's the 3rd Fan Club CD so far. The first two were ok but nothing special, this however is REALLY good. 9 tracks and 62 minutes, 6 of the tracks being written by Roine Stolt. (one track is by a Thomas Bodin produced band called "Moon Safari" who's debut CD is out soon - very impressive track too).
It's a very mellow, relaxed 62 mins with some great laid back guitarwork and quite jazzy in places. To be honest, I think it's far superior to the last TFK album "Adam & Eve" which is the first one of theirs which I haven't really liked.
Think it's 25 Euros to join. Well worth it IMHO ;D
...ooohhh what a masterpiece!!! *ola*I expect that I can second that, after hearing it. Still waiting for the postman :(.
U2 - "One"Sounds like Austin Powers speaking german :P
from the album 'Achtung Baby'
Now Playing - Adam and the Ants - Goody two shoes
I'm very curious100% Ack
It Bites - once around the world

JabberwockyWell, it's something very different from Arena, and it took a little getting used to, but I like it very much.
I'm very curious :)
Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb sun (song and album...)
John Wetton - Battle lines
Good choice!
NP: Arena - The Visitor :)You too?
(I'm still dreaming about last sunday @ de Boerderij ;D)
Theme tune to 'Knightmare'

The game Knightmare??No, there used to be a TV program called Knightmare here in England (late 80's - early 90's I think!)
I don't know any other knightmares...
This (http://www.knightmare.com/) Knightmare?
YES!!Soooo... KBM will be busy the next hour :P
WOW!! ;D
Bots Feat. Ali B. - 7 dagen lang
It's a mix between a dutch classic and rap/hip hop and it actually sounds good :)
yeeha, hippie classic. was wollen wir trinken, sieben tage lang, was wollen wir trinken, so ein durst! So, is it a german song or dutch or something else?
So, is it a german song or dutch or something else?
Soooo... KBM will be busy the next hour :P

Putting in now: Stream of Passion - Embrace the Storm

That's a cool band! Really like their Presents Of Mind album.
Muse - Time Is Running Out
I begin to like Muse more and more.
"I won't let you bury it, I won't let you smother it, I won't let you murder it..."
BTW, can anybody say me what genre this is? It's no Prog right?
I can hear some Prog influences though.

I believe Muse is Alternative Rock; It's certainly not Progressive.
I do like Muse, though! Matt Bellamy is an amazing guitarist! :)
Ok, Muse is not Progressive... but it's Alternative.
But Progressive is Alternative too. 8)
And an animal is a cow... I mean... whatever...
Yeah I know. Some song are better, some slightly less. Overall it's a very good album IMO.

Robby Williams - Live At The Royal Albert Hall.
Swing When You're Winning.
MAD. 8)
Ayreon - The Human Equation
Loser
;D
"You're just like your mother, well where is she now??"
Brilliant choice! I love Threshold, they are one of my favourites in recent years. We just got the Critical Energy DVD the other day, and it is totally amazing! They do Sanity's End and Mac's version has loads of energy live (not seen Damian Wilson doing it live so can't really compare). The DVD is well-named and even if you prefer Damian to Mac, it's still well worth getting I think. It's the only Threshold album I own and it's great! Indeed I bought it because of Damian Wilson. I love his voice and got this recommendation on the Damian Wilson forum. He also sings on 'Extinct Instinct', but this album is less melodious and because of that less interesting for me ;).
You'll end up like her soon, SIX FEET UNDERGROUND, LOSER!!!!
Vanden Plas - Beyond Daylight 8) I'm in the mood for Prog Metal today ;DOnly today? :P
This is one great album/DVD! I love it. RW is a superb musician and enterntainer. Really.

Salem Hill - "Mimi's Magic Moment". Very strong prog-release. I like it.

M!NDGAMES - Actors In A Play again and I love it 8)

IQ - Subterranea
Great album from a great band. :)
Their best ever album.
Hehehe... on Progarchives? ;)
Supertramp - Paris oh, I surely love it :-*
Yeah, cool, I should dig that one out sometime. It's one of the concerts I badly wish I had been there. Like Sting - Bring on the Night, and Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense etc...
Genesis - Land of Confusion :-[
GENESIS - "The Brazillian"I had that one on lp :o.
from the album 'Invisible Touch'
There's nothing wrong with Genesis in the 80's!
NP:
GENESIS - "The Brazillian"
from the album 'Invisible Touch'
What's the ":-[" for?
Genesis is... Genes is the... no wait...
Blah blah blah best.
Heh, I dunno. "Genesis" is the last one I felt had more good stuff than bad - although even that had some howlers ("Takin it all too hard", urrgh yuk!). I do like "Land of Confusion" though, especially in conjunction with the video..."that's some nurse". ;D
I'm now playing something I had never heard before:
A.C.T. - Torn By A Phrase
:o :o :o :o :o
Is this the future of Prog Rock????
It sounds brilliant!
The song is perfect in every aspect.
Check it out if you haven't heard it yet: progarchives.com

Are there just 4 words in this song ???
Now playing Arena - The Visitor ;D
IQ - The Wake
5. Widow's Peak
What is IQ's best album? My favorite one is 'The Seventh House', but 'Dark Matter' , 'Ever' and 'Subterranea' are great as well. The one I was playing 'The Wake' is a little bit 'dated', you can hear it's an older one.
You know A.C.T. but you obviously don't know Dream Theater then, otherwise you'll know what I was talking about. ;D
The Urbane - Time After Time
Great cover!
Landmarq - The vision Pit 8) and with Damian Wilson ;D
Obscyra you really should check this one out. ;)
What do I have to expect by Landmarq?
Well, first there are only 2 Albums with Damin Wilson and their music is not as heavy as in Threshold. It's Neoprogressive Rock and I love it. :-* On the Empire Website there is one Album from Landmarq with Damian evailable now for about 9 - 10 Euro. ;) Maybe you wnat to check the site out. ;) www.empire-music.de (http://www.empire-music.de)

I think I'll give that a spin today!
Tonight (while I was sleeping) I played:
Kamelot - The Black Halo 8)
I like those songs, it seems there's no weak song on The Seventh House. It's rather good, isn't it? As is In Absentia ;D
I like those songs, it seems there's no weak song on The Seventh House.Agreed, it's my favorite IQ album.
You don't sleepwalk, you sleeplisten?Yup. That way I discovered Genesis while being uncounscious, I couldn't get myself to listen to it when I was counscious at first, so... It worked really!
It's rather good, isn't it? As is In Absentia ;DYes, In Absentia is good too. But I don't think you can compare it to IQ... However, they are both excellent albums!
I've just been listening to the title track off Symphony X's The Odyssey. It's cheesy as hell but it's absolutely brilliant, imo. The last 5 minutes (from when the whole band kicks in to Champion of Ithaca) is fist in the air singalong perfection ;DYeah that's a great one too!!
Agreed, it's my favorite IQ album.
Just played: Arena - Immortal?
Ayreon - The Human Equation
The album still keeps getting better and better :o

I was listening to Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

Winterstrain *horns*
IQ - The Seventh House
2. Erosion
Yes i know. Hear the album a couple of times there. Never had the nerve to buy it though. It's nice, but it's not really my cup of tea. Seems that Kevin is living in Turkey now and has worked since then with a couple of Turkish artists. He isn't really the best vocalist in the world really. I like OSI because of the hard elements in it ( J. Matheos and Mr. Portnoy ). To me it's quite different than Chroma Key.
But the lyrics... ::)
Neal Morse - Testimony
Track: Overture # 1
MAD.
Vanden Plas - Christ O germany's number 1 Prog-Metal Band is back after 4 years *horns*

John Mitchell: tambourine, didgeridoo and celtic/irish dance
Yeah, that would be great!
Tiles - Window DressingFunnily enough, I was listening to that last night. They sound so much like Rush - but nowhere near as good, obviously, but not bad at all. I can only assume it's the Terry Brown influence ;)
Track: Window Dressing
