OK, guys, new brain strainer. I've listed what seem to me to be the favorite groups of Roomies at the moment, alphabetically, so as not to bias. You'll see that Arena are left out. That's because I want to save you the agony of having to brood over whether Dream Theater or Sylvan just might .., you get the picture. Let's just take it for granted that Arena are surely the most popular group among Roomies.
OK, the rules of the game are that you choose, leaving Arena aside, your fave, second fave, third fave, fourth fave, and fifth fave group from the list below. Just write:

So apart from the fact they make good music or not. Knowing this made me dislike her and Erik enough to not listen to their music anymore. Just a matter of principals for me.
The other way around would also count. If Arjen would say something like that about one of the people he worked with, that would make me dislike listening to his music. But, I know him enough to know he wouldn't do that.

Ark is an all time fave i must promote everytime and recommend everyone! Redemption are also cool, the new album is really heavy - I have discovered The Mars Volta just couple of days ago. Maybe I am stil under impressions and that may be the reson for putting them on that list - but it sounds really good and fresh! ::)

I must confess. This is really hard. This is my favourite list at the moment but if it was my all time favourite Dream Theater would be in it, though maybe not at no. 1 ( :-[) but the list could be completely different. Like i said: really hard. There quite a rather large number of bands that i really deeply like and to pick only five one out is...ehm...difficult.
I agree with Appel that Transatlantic, though impressively great outstanding, is a project and not a band. And i dream with you Nicky. But i fear it will remain with dreams. :-\

I'm surprised that IQ comes in first in our provisional result. There are other groups that we've talked more about here in the Room. But fine with me, they're great, and I'm motivated to listen more to them.

Another fun thing I noticed is that Yes is on noone's favourite list.
So there's no real battle between Yes-fans and Genesis-fans around here, Genesis wins! ;)
(That was just a personal joke from me, haha.)
Anyway, nothing changed except that Ayreon (who shared the fourth place with Pendragon) had to lose his former place. Pendragon wins over Ayreon.
Furthermore Spock's Beard is out!
It's a very clear vote with regard to the first five places.
One can also see that it's a rather diverse group of voters in that Dream Theater is very different from the other groups in pos 1-5.
