Verglas News

            Arena - Writing begins...
Well, the break seems to be over now, and the first tentative steps towards writing the next album has begun...
Clive: 'it's a slow proccess, but it has started. I've got a handful of ideas, and we'll be meeting up soon for a writing session. We're not in a hurry for this seventh studio album... we'll just see how it goes.'

Arena - Smoke and Mirrors Special Edition DVD!
You can still order the special edition of the Arena 'Smoke and Mirrors' DVD from the Verglas store... but don't wait too long, they will run out.

            John Mitchell - It Bites
John will be providing the vocals and guitars for the newly reformed 'It Bites'. He will be teaming up with the original line up (minus Mr Dunnery, of course). There will be dates later this year in the UK and there are concerts also planned in Japan. We here that writing has also begun on a potential new album.

            Arena - Ten Years On
To celebrate the ten year anniversary of Arena, Verglas Music are releasing a 'best of' album. This is mainly aimed at people who are unfamiliar with the band, but there are a couple of collectible items for the Arena connoisseur, including a Rob Sowden vocal version of 'Empire of a Thousand Days' from the Pride album. The artwork work has been created by Contagion/Pepper's man David Wyatt.
The release date is aimed to be at the end of October....so, watch this space!!

            Clive Nolan - Caamora
Clive's project 'Caamora' has finally taken off! After a year and a half of preparation Clive and singer, Agneiszka Swita are going on the road for the first time to start promoting the forthcoming 'rock opera' (to be released in 2007). They have some dates in November with symphonic rock band Galahad, and are then off to South America for some dates in Chile as well as possibly Mexico and Argentina. There is also a warm up gig on October 7th... their first appearance! The dates can be found at www.caamora.net/ConcertGuide.html
