Seeing the post about The Butterfly Man reminded me of something I saw recently in the tabloids ...

Footballer Harry Kewell's wife wearing a shirt with a picture of a butterfly on it and underneath in flamboyant curly text "The Butterfly Man".  So does that mean Mrs Kewell is an Arena fan?  I should have scanned the photo and displayed it on here, this would have made the point far more eloquently, but as you can see ... I didn't.

As for the apple sauce, I discarded the half-eaten jar just to be safe and bought a new jar.  Hoggie finds my stringent sticking to "eat by" and "use by" dates very amusing.  He jokes that on the stroke of midnight on the Best Before Date, the food particles are saying to each other "That's it, lads, time to go off!" etc.  Perhaps I should have allowed the old jar of apple sauce to evolve into a new life form.  Does this mean that by throwing it out I am a Xenocide like Ender?  I have killed off an entire race by my thoughtless actions.  Only I am 37, not 12 like Ender and I know that this is real life, not an alleged computer simulation.  Mayhap I can redeem myself by buying the whole stock of apple sauce from the supermarket and leaving them to evolve into ... whatever they are going to evolve into.
